I think diddy is a POS for what he did, but legally speaking, the governments case was kind of weak when they have text messages from Cassie like "I'm always down for a freak off." Cassie/Jane were willing participants to some extent, granted, Diddy took it way too far.

So he was found guilty of transporting someone across state lines for illegal sex (2 counts), but not of sex trafficking, which involves exploiting someone for sex through force, fraud, or coercion. Gotta love the dumb justice system of the USA. All these years of people studying law and they leave this up to a jury of random knuckleheads. I wouldn’t be surprised if in this his peers and or judges were paid off.
I haven't followed the case, but it's not hard to believe that it was just a crazy rich man having raging sex parties and not necessarily realizing it crosses some lines. And it sounds like the jury agreed. The dick was doing the thinking, and the dick got carried away as usual. It also sounds like the women just want their payday, and they'll get it, and likely deserve it, but the feds as usual took it for more than it was. There is no question he is a bad person and there are some consequences for that.
