I'm about 90 percent sure that this rift between Trump and Musk is distraction theatre and they are both still in tune with each other. The more the everyday American has to work paycheck to paycheck , the more control the oligarchs and govt have over the people Elon will be fine with his billions and his buying power will even go up if our economy crashes. Like most congressmen, I haven't read the 1000 page bill. Who even knows how this will be enforced. Personally , the thing that I've heard that is most concerning is the ICE money increase. Ice has already been operating with a wide brush, detaining and "mistakenly" deporting people. This money allowed them to cast their already wide net over a larger area. First it's the rapists and criminals Then it's anyone who recently entered Then it's bad naturalized citizens Then it's people born here that didn't deserve it Then it's "bad" US citizens Then it's political opposition This is stuff Trump is actually saying , whether you think it's exaggerated or taken out of context or whatever. I’m not worried about any Musk Party candidate winning any elections. But, he can sink a lot of congressmen in primaries with his money.
Issue with American politics is that it has no room for people who actually have dem/Republican ideologies. I have a liberal father in law who thinks I’m a Super Maga cultist and my dad thinks I’m an AOC lover. Our politics are cooked.
