Maybe the good guys ARE just a bunch of aliens on space missions. Also, Betty the Scheduling Coordinator quit recently, so they all got lost in tbe system…

    Yeah, fuuckall a #BuiltForThis.

Why is it always a different body part with our players. Freak shin issue, knee, shoulder, ribs. Nobody seems to have the same injury when out for extended time.

Well there was Correa and his ribs, but that was still due to a bad massage, right?

I had the same sentiment last year, and some of it may not be the training staff’s fault but our front office just strait up not being truthful. I mean there’s also no way our front office has been wrong this much the last couple years. Pretty much everything they tell us is blatantly incorrect.

But man, either give it to us strait or hire a new staff, one of the two needs to change. It’s not like the nfl where you’re getting an advantage by hiding the injury report, these players are strait up not available so just say what’s up

The fact that the Rockies have 4 runs in and 14 LOB is inexcusable

I broke my hand once (in my 20’s) and it healed to about 80-90% relatively quickly, like maybe a month. But then it took at least 3 more months before it felt completely normal again. And I wasn’t trying to swing a bat either.

I told some buddies the same thing when it was discovered that he had a fracture in his hand. I compared it to Yao’s fracture in his foot that completely derailed his career. The violence with which Yordan hits a very hard object going 100mph with a giant piece of lumber is not great for guys prone to hand fractures.

The craziest part of all this though is that HE HASN’T EVEN SEEN A HAND SPECIALIST YET. Who was diagnosing him thus far, a ******* pediatrician??? How is a hand specialist not your first and quite frankly only call????

Yordan is made of glass, he is the Anthony Davis of baseball, his body can’t hold up. It sucks but it might be time to move on…these are non contact injuries.

Everybody can hate on Dodgers but when their pitcher needs TJ, they do it right away and don't run the dude out multiple times to see if velo is back.

Im pretty disappointed if with some urgent procedure right away we would have had Yordan back and hitting like monster after ASG.

It is going to be fascinating to see what Houston’s roster looks like on Sept 1. They have 12 guys on their 40 man roster who are on the IL with uncertain timelines for their return, including 4 SP, a RP who was having a breakout season, their star DH, their starting SS, and their #2 prospect. That is an enormous amount of uncertainty going into the trade deadline.

So let me get this straight…he flew from Houston to south Florida to just swing a baseball bat and here we are.

    Make it make sense?

I just thought of something. Can Yordan be the new 3rd base coach ?

Would he break his hand waving a runner home?

Would he break his hand holding the runner up?

The disfunction of the Astros medical staff coupled with Dana lying is just unacceptable, if I am ANY player on the Astors, if I get hurt, I am going to see a specialist of my choosing. I am not letting ANY Astros Dr come near me................I wont be shocked if Yordan is out for the year, at this point its just a bonus if he makes it back. Which makes it MORE important to go get another bat...................a consistent bat, they will probably have to overpay but we are the best team in baseball since May 1 and we need to keep our foot on the gas.

Astros 100% need to reform their medical staff.

Sucks to say, but their is clearly something going on that is causing them to consistently misdiagnose and put players back on the field before they are ready creating much bigger issues.

Alvarez has had hand issues for a long time. This is something that could have gotten taken care of multiple offseason ago.
