If you're a small guard and aren't a riot maker on defense or a lights out shooter/playmaker...it's going to be difficult. Big if true. Something we didn't already know. Glad we had Lebron bringing out the wine bottles to explain this to us.

talk about drawing conclusions - this is the same clickbait crap the news and social media pull.
Durant is not throwing his new teammates under the bus, especially not 9 days into being a Rocket (and not officially until July 6)

Nobody should have an issue with what KD said as it’s true.

Smaller guys have to work harder and need to have a grit to them to succeed. Smaller guys will absolutely get picked on and schemed against.

****, if you asked Reed or FVV if they wish they were 6’4 they’d probably say “**** yeah”.

Doesn’t mean we can’t win with them either.

He's not wrong though. The game has evolved so much that point guards who are purely scorers or playmakers need to be amazing at defense otherwise their value plummets

I have zero issues with Fred’s point of attack defense. Especially when we have the length around him that we do.

Reading and listening comprehension are in the basement these days. He CLEARLY is saying there's an archetype of guard that will have a hard time succeeding in the league as a starter. It's not blasphemous, or even controversial to say that being under 6'2 and not being either A) absolutely elite at scoring from all 3 levels or B) an absolute DAWG on defense and making sure teams don't target you for 30 minutes a night makes things really ****ing difficult for you and your team to win. FVV has staked his entire career on being a bulldog on defense. I don't think there's a single team in the NBA that tries to target Fred in a half court set, and if they do, I'm willing to bet it doesn't work with any consistency. We know Fred has his deficiencies, but defense is certainly not one of them. Reed doesn't even qualify for the conversation because KD himself said the conversation was about STARTERS. How is it possible for so many people to misinterpret a 60 second ****ing clip, and try to turn it into a roast for their own agenda?? As always, reading the comments on that was like stepping into Idiocracy and only further proves that social media was a mistake.

I actually hope you and BTG are correct about Reed and Cam. I was just comparing BTG’s hyperbole about Reed compared to yours about Cam. When Reed was drafted, he was claiming he was the immediate starting Pg for the Rockets and a star in the making. As I predicted before the season, Reed had a tough time adjusting to the athleticism in the NBA and would struggle to get into the rotation. I also predicted he would spend time in RGV. Amen getting more PG minutes than Reed just peeved BTG so much he ignores the obvious realities of his progression as a backcourt player and the challenges that Reed has to overcome. If Reed performs it is great for the Rockets, but on offense he will most likely play off ball at least until he proves he can get to the lane and score. FVV should be playing off ball as well. Jalen would still be here if the Rockets didn’t believe Amen should be in the backcourt.

Never liked smaller guards playing in the NBA. Liability.

i'm mean Curry isnt but 6'2... he shoots exceptionally well - does that make him a savant?

“If you 6’0 or 6’1 and you’re not a bulldog like DAVION MITCHELL, Jrue Holiday on defensive side or a offensive savant like Kyrie…I just can’t see it”

good thing for Reed he measured 6'1 3/4" barefoot at the combine last year at age 19 going on 20 so it's possible he could have even grown a little more. either way he's listed at 6'2".

I think KD is right. Fred is a backup guy.
