Dudes like @YOLO (cmoak?) acted like Tillman destroyed the franchise and had no redeeming qualities.

Tillman actually a flat out competitor and wants to win, just not with Daryl and harden. I remember Tillman saying “my team needs to take me fighting spirit, we need to remake the team in my image.”

Since then he’s done everything to build a contender, including green lighting a tank and getting into luxury tax.

this dude ain’t Dolan and he’s honestly better than Les.

He’s overseeing one of the quickest and best rebuilds in nba history.

imagine having never tank Les or the wolves owner

Tillman is in Italy on his yacht. He has no idea what these fools are doing with his money.

And it's going to lead to a championship!

Who fired morey and hired stone?

Who green light the tank and is paying luxury tax?

Who enables stone? Stone himself says he and Tillman and ime are all rough neck fighters and operate differently than the previous regime.

it all starts at the top “I need to remake the team in my image”

Tillman thought harden, Mike d, and Daryl all eat p**sy @Xerobull

Who knows? Maybe Tillman is planning to sell the team and is willing to win now despite the future cost.

When he wins a title to replace the one he stole from the franchise with the Westbrook trade then I will apologize. Revamped CP3, Harden and whatever Morey adds instead of wasting on Westbrook...that team cruises to a title in the bubble, quite possibly repeats.

He's been much better here recently, but as an owner he's still in the red overall.

What’s funny is no one really would have blamed him for trying to duck the tax one more year. So glad we decided eff the tax when you have Durant.

In the beginning he was a rookie owner and I didn't think he fully understood NBA relationships vs the hospitality industry at first, as many rookie owners make mistakes like the Suns owner.

Some talents or situations are very hard or not easily replaced, and will take years to rebuild if you do. He was part of the group that caused a mass exodus during the Harden era, Everyone left, starters, bench, coach and GM.

He's done well rebuilding and I think he learned a lot from that experience, but we'll see if these recent gambles pay off. TBD honestly, if he wins a chip all apologies are due absolutely. I hope it does

I don't mind easing up some. I think there are outside factors that should be included in this story. One, Tilman himself in interviews during early ownership cried poor mouth. He kept saying he was one of the poorest owners in the league and had to make decisions under those constraints. When he started to make decisions based on those constraints (avoiding luxury tax, clearing house), he started getting criticism and did the Trump thing about denying being cheap and saying he wanted to win at all costs.

His personal fortune changed dramatically over the last decade. The Supreme Court green lighted sports betting, online casinos rights became valuable, and entertainment and dining bounced back after covid. His reported net worth was under $4 billion when he bought the Rockets. It's tripled in 9 years.

It also seems like he's taking a back seat on running the team, caring more about becoming the Italian Ambassador. So yes, the spending now is absolutely great. I'm sure the ticket prices will rise as well. And I applaud the team for this commitment. Doesn't mean he wasn't a cheapskate, relatively speaking, when the team still could have contended in those early years.

My apology only goes as far as acknowledging that Tillman learned a hard lesson about being too hands-on as an owner. Watching Westbrook play after two seasons with CP3 had to be painful. Knowing that you coughed up 4 FRPs to make that happen? Excruciating.

At least now he’s letting his kid and Stone run the show.
