Rapidly decline when? He's only 30 So he's gonna go from 30, 12, and 7 this season to what? 25 ppg next season? Then the year after 22 ppg? Then after that completely washed?
He basically slides into the Dillon Brooks role, gritty veteran defender who can make open three pointers. But he should be fine with coming off the bench and playing around 20mpg, which is what we need in order to open up minutes for Jabari.
Why am I not surprised it's the Jalen Green moron who has this viewpoint. I'm sleeping much better tonight knowing this idiot thinks it's bad.
Plays defense and shot 41% from three on five attempts per game. We were one of the worst 10 teams in the NBA for 3P% last season, and just traded away our best 3P shooter (granted, for a clear upgrade in KD).
Relies on athletiscm. Hurt often. His game wont last in his late 30s, and will cost more than anyone. Id rather have sengun at 33 milion at his age. I hate having our entire salary of our team made up by 2 players. Durant and Giannis would be like 120 million. Its better to have chunk multiple salaries. We are constructed well right now.
Late thirties? That's like 7 years away What is the timeline for Giannis major decline? Go from 30, 12, and 7 at age 30 to what within let's say the next 3 years?

Kind of hard to say honestly. I think the norm would be for him to start showing real signs of decline around age 34-35, so he should have at least 3 more years of elite play left in him. There have been examples, albeit rarely, of forwards or centers (Giannis has the body type of a center basically) staying pretty elite into their late 30s. LeBron and KD are two current ones. In the past, you had Kareem making All-NBA at age 38. As far as median outcomes go I would say it's relatively safe to count on 4 years of him being good enough to be the best player on a championship team.
Sure if they can attack their last pick... I would want an unprotected pick 3-4 years from now when we need fresh blood.
He better be the best bench 3&D player there is.. because paying a role player at age 32 a 4 year deal seems sus to me. WASHED Trevor Ariza was 32yo when he was demanding that contract from us.
Yeah saw that. I thought I saw somewhere someone saying Jock and Cam could work for a DFS snt. I think Jackson mentioned that rumor too on Locked On so just hoping that’s not what they try to do.
