These aren't his points, it's what you get from googling "what are MLKs view on communism". He clearly doesn't know what socialism is.
Hey google "what are MLKs view on socialism"

Here's a breakdown of his perspective:
    • Critique of Capitalism: King saw capitalism as a system that created a vast disparity between the rich and the poor, leading to exploitation and suffering. He believed that the profit motive, if unchecked, encouraged competition and selfish ambition rather than fostering community and social responsibility. He felt capitalism had "outlived its usefulness" as a system that prioritized luxuries for the few over the necessities of the many.
    • Advocacy for Redistribution of Wealth: King strongly advocated for a better distribution of wealth in society. He believed that ending poverty required a fundamental shift in the economic system to ensure that all individuals had access to the resources needed for a decent life.
    • Democratic Socialism: King expressed sympathy for democratic socialism as a potential path towards a more just and equitable society. He believed that there should be a better distribution of wealth in the country, and he even suggested that America might need to move towards democratic socialism. He saw it as a means to achieve both racial and economic equality.
    • Rejection of Communism: While he admired Karl Marx's passion for social justice, King ultimately rejected communism due to its tendency to dehumanize individuals and its lack of emphasis on spiritual and moral values.
    • Focus on a "Kingdom of Brotherhood": King's vision of a just society was rooted in his Christian faith and a belief in the "kingdom of brotherhood," which transcended both capitalism and communism.

Getting lectured about communism and socialism from cultists who are openly supporting the United States ushering in a corrupt autocracy is really something to behold.

You maga keyboard warriors really are shameless pricks.

I don't have a relationship with my dad. What's your point with this? Obviously, I use Google to look up information such as Martin Luther King's viewpoints on anti-communism, certain aspects of Marxist Theory and who led the NBA in blocked shots from 1984-95. Would you rather have my original thoughts & opinions over me just sharing facts and information?

WTF are you talking about. Of course they are socialist. They are a mixed economy of socialism and capitalism like every economy in the world, including the United States. And they clearly are more socialist than the US.

Did anyone say they are pure socialist? That doesn't exist. The only person in this thread that doesn't seem to understand this is @Tomstro who seems to think socialism is some kind of cartoon villain evil.

My bad I confused you with @Tomstro since you came in defending his weird comments about grifting commies. And yes, I would rather hear well reasoned thoughts than googled factoids. You can back up your opinions with googled facts, but just posting googled facts that we can all look up is kind of useless.

I strongly disagree that sharing facts and information is useless, especially when those facts may not be known, considered or injected into the conversation by those sharing their opinions.

My opinion was that not all anti-communists are right wing nuts jobs. I googled MLK Jr's entire viewpoints on Communism. I don't need to rewrite it all in my own words. My time is more valuable to me than that.

I've never seen a pro-communist on this board. Your comment came off as defending right-wing nut jobs because no one made the assertion that all anti-communists are right wing or nut jobs. Communism wasn't mentioned until a weird post calling Mamdani a "commie grifter" and the need to defend the soil of America against commies.

Tomstro said, "If you want to be educated on how communism and socialism are un-American and grifts on the people, there are lots of great books on it. History also tells that truth pretty vividly.

HP3 said, "Dude no one wants to read your right wing nut job propaganda."

I replied to HP3 with MLK, Jr's viewpoints. He appreciated the information. I appreciated his reply. We had our moment exchanging likes and that's that.

Dude. We are talking past each other. You're talking to me like I am some fringe libertarian who thinks only local governments should exist.

Its about balance between socialism and capitalism. I wouldn't be surprised if the United States socialist programs outspend the entire worlds social programs, and that wouldn't be a bad thing. The fact remains is that the United States holds the global reserve currency and is at the epicenter of the Cantillon effect, so therefore we will by nature be very capitalistic even if extraordinary amount of money is spent on social programs. The problem isn't about the government spending money, but in the inefficiently ran government programs that is often ripe for mediocracy or abuse. Socialism, like capitalism, can grow out of control. Some of the most poorly ran countries in the world spends an excessive amount of the GDP on social programs. Even China, who is doing very well with its socialistic program, is completely disregarding the swaths of poverty. They are a pretty shitty example of a socialistic country.

Fox News on Monday continued its crusade against New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani, promoting the bizarre Republican idea to have the Democrat deported.

At a White House press briefing, Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked if President Donald Trump would be interested in deporting Mamdani. Instead of dismissing the premise of the question, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said she hadn’t heard Trump call for that measure but that he “does not want this individual to be elected.”

Facts do not appear to matter for the Trump Admin.
