That pick is the one Stone got when he traded Westbrook for Wall. Rockets of course packaged the pick with the pick the Pistons sent with Wood to OKC for the rights to Sengun. Thunder sent it to the Knicks for Dieng.
Wow, that's a **** up and a half for a GM, I'm sure players don't trust GM's too much anyway but that's like a guarantee that he's one of the shady ones.
Pretty sure the Rockets have never had a player named Finney-Smith. Although, they did have a player named Kenny Smith.
This insinuates that KD is replacing Jalen, so wouldn’t it figure that either Amen or Jabari are replacing Dillon since the two of them did not start together last year? I’ve seen nothing to make me believe in Sheppard. That is where my priority would be.
Not the same dynamic, you cannot bench KD like with Jalen without KD being vexed. It is going to be explosive as ever.
Apparently the team disagrees with you. There have been alot of reports that they are extremely high on him internally and these moves and proposed moves seem to indicate those reports are true. I think its a good gamble to roll the dice on Reed being the full time backup
I think this is more talking about role with the team (i.e., A SF that can play a small ball PF, but also guard a guard if need be). That said, Amen is replacing Green. KD is moving into the forward spot vacated by Amen. I don't think it is set in Stone that JSJ is back to starting. Maybe Reed Sheppard fails, but it seems like he's already viewed as the third guard with Green being traded away, and the Rockets apparently looking for guys that would fit with a guard rotation of FVV, Amen, and Reed instead of a third guard. Also, when I first read that tweet, it sounded like a passive-aggressive dig at Jalen Green.
I’m just going off of the organization having a high level of confidence in Shepherd and even probably to an extent Cam Whitmore.
It doesn’t matter who they say they are replacing our starting line-up is ordained to be FVV, Amen, KD, Jabari, and Sengun. DFS will be coming off the bench to be a really good defensive wing and a spot up shooter. It seems they are going into the season confident that Reed and Holiday can hold down the fort as defensive PG’s and offensive SG’s if FVV gets hurt. If we get DFS I think we dump Cam for a future pick and wait to make any other moves until the deadline.
Why do you need a 3 level scorer when you have a team who is elite at all 3 levels? Sengun and Amen can score on the block. KD can already score at all three levels. Thompson only shoots 15 feet and in. We need people to get rebounds as it keeps less possessions for the other team.
Shams says the Rockets are prioritizing replacing Dillon Brooks. as they should because Dillon was the biggest thing we lost in the KD trade…his shooting was a surprising plus, and he gave us an edge on the court and provided toughness he was a very solid role player for us
