This one might cause the demise of my marriage.

My wife often uses the microwave to heat things up. She programs in a minute and takes her stuff out after 30 seconds. but never presses the clear button so the digital readout always says food instead of the time. Now that I'm calling her out, she rinses her plate after dinner and such but never puts it in the dishwasher. It's literally 2 feet from the sink.

people who smoke in non-designated smoking areas, especially on public transit

every time I'm in Chicago and use the CTA, there will always be 1 or 2 people smoking in the train car or blasting sh*tty music with no headphones

This leads me to another annoyance.
People that leave their car running at the gas pump while blasting their radio.

Hadn't heard this song in years until I was heading home a bit ago, but it's spot on:

There's something that's been bugging us Texans
And it's time that we set the record straight
    Concerning a species of cacti
That grows in a whole different state

The cactus in question's called saguaro
It's tall with big arms in the air
And if you ever travel to Texas
I'm sorry but you won't see them there

    Hollywood and misinformed artists
Made the saguaro a Texas icon
But the saguaro only grows in Arizona
Where people got em' out on their lawn

    I love the Sonoran desert
I'll bet people there are glad I'm telling you
That the saguaro only grows in Arizona
And part of Northern Mexico too

There ain't no saguaro in Texas
It's not the kind of cactus we've got
But somehow we're stuck with this image
And changing it is gonna take a lot

    Folks in Mexico and Arizona
Are probably glad that I have cleared the air
There ain't no saguaro in Texas
But we've sure got a lot of prickly pear

Yes it's true that we've got a lot of desert
But we've got a lot of piney forests too
    Hundreds of miles of beaches
Hollywood just doesn't have a clue

There's prickly pear cactus in Texas
Nopalitos are sure good with eggs
    Boots are required footwear
So cactus needles won't stick your legs

    Longhorns and blue bonnet flowers
    Lima trees and great barbecue
    Rat-tail and coral cactus
    Mesquite trees and peyote too
    Yeehaw!

Found a bird fledgling floating in the pool. This one had feathers. I originally thought it was just a couple of leaves so it was floating around since yesterday. So, must have survived leaving the nest and was hopping around the shrubs for a while. Then, tried to fly and ended up in the pool. Didn't use the frog log. I'd like to see just one example of a frog log saving a fledgling. It's not happening.

people who let their untrained dogs run around the neighborhood off-leash

1 of my neighbors had her 1st dog get run over by a car, and now with her 2nd one she’s still doing the same sh*t

I’ll see her letting it come with her to the mailbox off-leash and that dog will just take off…if she opens the front door, dog will bolt off…she’ll be calling it after it, dog don’t give a damn what she’s talking about

the dog is friendly so when it runs up to me I don’t mind too much, but it’s big and likes to jump on people and get mouthy

my baby girl who passed away last summer didn’t have much tolerance for strange dogs, so that’s when it really got annoying when I’d see that dog charging towards us off-leash when I was out on a walk

Is your wife one of my teenage kids? I see that microwave light blinking frequently and it drives me nuts.

The wife likes to call me on her way from wherever she is and just shoot the **** all the way home. She won't hang up until she walks in the garage door. I'm like...can you just wait until you get home in 10 minutes and we'll talk then?

    Nope.

Pretty sure she does it on purpose just to mess with me though...

As soon as she walks in, just started pounding that snare drum really quickly with force (like think Neil Peart snare pounding) and then say, "I'm sorry...did you say something?".

Yea...but can he play "La Villa Strangiato". Whenever I ask the drummer if he plays "YYZ"-ed....they always say they can. But, whenever I ask them to play "La Villa...", they stare into outer space looking for the Starman.

I'm kidding. I'm riffing on something Mike Portnoy said one time on a Rush documentary about "Oh...I can play 'YYZ'-ed. But, can you play 'La Villa Strangiato?'".

But, seriously, can he play "La Villa..."?

My son can play just about every rush song we'll on guitar. He got into them at age 14.
    Crazy.
This is him at 16 years old.
    He's muuuch better now

Dogs in apartment complexes... but especially larger breeds on high floors. It takes too long to get all the way downstairs to actual grass which results in too many accidents / learned behavior that certain places are ok. They love the door from the hallway into the garage and the adjacent wall... it's just so gross.

That's on the owner, bro. 'Bad dog owners' is your real gripe.

You know I keep on being told that, I'd be fine with both the dog and the bad dog owners being gone.
