For a player coming out of his age 21 season who is clearly an NBA talent, I would argue that taking at least one step forward, as you put it, is the norm. Very rare for NBA players to already be at their peak at Jabari's age, barring injury. I don't think the contract is a steal, but I think it's a solid value if you assume a normal trajectory for Jabari's career. Fair for both parties, maybe slightly leaning toward the Rockets. If he does improve more than normal, then it will be a bargain.

Jabari started the first half of the season and was having a great start to the year until he injured his hand.

Difference is fluidity still. He is putting too much hesitation in the moves.

    Tobias Harris says hi.

My guess is the Rockets convinced themselves it's moveable plus overvaluing their own guys

I actually don't think Naz Reid is that good.

Big men who can't really guard down, limited value commodity.

I would pass on Jabari or Naz Reid

Solid deal. Very happy for Jabari and for the Rockets. Crazy good offseason for Stoney.

Its not a lot of money 24.5M? Basically Naz Reid money and NR came off the bench.

I like it. He seems to truly want to put in the work to be his best. He can pick up more from Durant the next two seasons.

You mean like how KD couldnt do a single bench press as a rookie?
Jabari's job isnt gonna be to back people down and score in the post. Its gonna be to defend and shoot 3s.

    HAAAAAAAA

Then why are so many posts about people wanting Jabari to get into the post and use his height and turnaround touch?

There's still time to delete your post.

He can be aggregated in December with other contracts if Giannis breaks lose.

But if we wait until next year, it will have his whole 25m salary to use.

Nazi Reid has more blocks and steals per game. He plays less minutes.
