Steal. That's what a really good role player in his late 20s make nowadays. so much room for growth so I like the contract. Eason next. Hurry.

    Love it!

We had incentive to get this done earlier since his cap hold would've been in the 37M range or so (?). I also expect him to increase his value now with Durant here. This deal will get better each year

Amazing offseason for Rockets so far

Yeah for Jabari this is generational wealth, from the Rockets perspective we get what we believe is a starting-caliber roleplayer with a hard-to-find archetype for 15% of the cap. Win/win.

At initial glance of 5/122, I thought that was too much, but averaging it out, it comes to 24mil and I had to realize that NBA contracts are ridiculous now and going forward, and this is just a lower middle ground type of deal. Crazy money.

Stone is cooking! Really solid deal for a guy that can situationally play the 3/4/5.

I think he'll continue to evolve and may surprise us if his ball handling improves significantly.

Except as a percentage of the cap, a lot less.

That is a steep commitment as a fully guaranteed contract considering what Jabari has shown so far. This is a gamble from the FO, as they did with Jalen and Sengun. I can't say I understand such a heavy gamble, this does not seem like a discount for what he is or could be, just seems like fair money for what you'd hope he'd become.

It's a pretty tradeable deal even if he's relatively disappointing. Jabari as-is is basically Bobby Portis, teams want guys like that. If he improves a little, it's a solid value, if he improves a lot, it's a steal.

Yeah this isn't anything close to a steal in my opinion. Jabari has to show much more than he has. He can't continue to shoot below 44% from the field and below league average from 3PT. No more "floating" and being soft against physical bigs. More consistency. I hope he shows it.

He's a very good role player. This is what very good role players get paid.
