Durant traded to Houston for Green, Brooks, #10 pick, and multiple 2nd rounders

Part of being a needle mover on offense is being able to adapt to things like physicality.

 

I may actually buy a new Dunstronaut jersey with KD's name on to replace the one with Jalen's name on lol.

 

Utah just gave an indication of what Jalen Green wouldve fetched on the open market. They had to attach a pick just to get an expiring for Sexton. Same type of player archetype as Jalen but more efficient and make less money

 

Glad you posted this. Ime's offensive scheme isnt super advanced but he runs a lot of stuff other teams run....they just had players a lot better than Fred and Jalen involved in the play. That play right there is an example of how just inserting kd over Jalen will make the offense look a lot better running some of the same sets.

It's been reported KD wants a 2 year 55M/year extension but I think for our team and how it's structured, it might be more beneficial to give KD 3 years 40M/year extension. He'll be 40 on his last year but an expiring. We'll have a lot more room to operate under the aprons as well.

Anyways, I trust Stone to make the final call, he has done nothing but good deals so far this off-season.

 

It is impressive how the Rockets are locking up the guys they are focusing on their core group.

Sengun, Jabari, Adams, VanVleet are already locked up for this next 2 year run. Now let’s see if Tari and Durant can be locked up for another 2+ years at a very minimum.

Jalen Green was unfortunately still too green to be considered a legit NBA scorer. Kudos for his inroads to becoming a plus defender. But Durant at 37 is everything and more of what you’d hope Jalen Green could one day become (with no guarantees Green scratches anywhere near the caliber Durant is even at 36/37 years old).

Durant with the Rockets has a full cast of characters for a full throttle effort to win a title next season and be in serious contender status for the next season at a minimum (assuming the Rockets will get that extension).

So no stupid trades depleting the quality depth for another all-star chasing title rainbows.

I’m a huge Gianni’s fan, but I do hope the Rockets stay mindful that a full roster cannot be devoid of talented players, as doing so will reanimate a grasping at straws result.
