But that's September when they recognize that. That's what I thought at first, but nobody else is wearing yellow.
He will never get credit for it, but Espada is doing a really good job managing the staff right now. Last night, and in quite a few of his outings, Gordon had a pitch count low enough to easily go another inning. Instead Espada wisely pulls him avoiding that 3rd exposure to his meh stuff. He infuriated me last season with his persistent desire to get another inning, he has cleaned that up a ton this season. I know what people will say"its an idiot proof pen", but ultimately whether a pitcher pitches well is out of the managers hands, all he can do is put them in the right situations to succeed and he has done that very well this season save for some mistakes early with Taylor Scott.
I thought any part of their exposed undershirt had to be a uniform color for all players on a team, except on special dedicated times like Breast Cancer Awareness, Autism Awareness, etc... That was the only reason I asked to begin with. Did that uniform rule change?
I don't pay attention that much to the shirts players wear on other teams. I just noticed that bright yellow outfit Paredes had on last night. I guess the MLB uniform rules aren't enforced, if that's the case.
This upcoming series with the Cubs. They have had pitching issues. Gave up 30 runs to Seattle in a 3 game series.
Maybe they are leftovers from his Tampa days???? I have tee shirts from 10 years ago still in my wearing rotation.
True, he's learned to not try to get another inning out of his starters. Good for him. It's esay to look good when he's got the pen he's got. Right now King shouldn't be the 7th inning guy though. He's pitching much worse than Souza/Okert. Although he still pitching well enough. Injuries have somewhat kept him from tinkering with the lineup Sunday and last nights lineups not withstanding.
Honestly, King hasn't seemed to me to be the 7th inning for like 3 weeks or a month. I know he pitched the 8th yesterday but I think he's been supplanted a bit in the pecking order by Sousa and Okert. I also think Dubin, before he went down, had moved ahead of him. How I think it is if everyone is healthy, rested and game 7 of a playoff series: Hader Abreu Okert (but might be saved for mid-inning- he feels like the fireman role to me right now) Sousa King Ort Doesn't matter Doesn't matter
Pitching luck. As with after writing the hitting luck article I got more excited when I was done than when I started writing. I think yall will like it. By the way- if you subscribe to blog I'm putting you in a drawing to win 2 tickets to a game per month with grand prize to win 2 tickets to the 1st playoff game at MMP.
Ideally, we need to start blowing out opponents, so we can use Dubon to pitch with an 8 run lead in the 9th.
I wear my iron Maiden Powerslave 86 tour often. Thickest tee I own. Stands up better than my 40 dollar polo tees
