Were they some kids? They showed up on the replay for the caratini hr. If so, you were on tv too.

Compliments to the staff and Caratini? I guess…

Idk how we keep getting away with it but I will take it while I can.

So the 1981 Astros with those back to back 1-0 wins were started by no other than Nolan Ryan and Bob Knepper.

My guess is we've never won games by a 1-0 and 2-0 scores back to back. So that 1981 season is how far this goes back.

Dominating at home, left handed relievers, are we in an alternate universe?

Unreal, just unreal. Love this team. Again with lineup which looked like we punting this one :). This said seeing roadkills like Trammel in starting 9 makes me wonder don't we have anybody else who would need AB's? Not even in minors? Or had this guy smashed AA and AAA this season?

Should be great early matchup tomorrow. Brown v the lanky lefty sinkerballer Sanches. Can't wait.

Lost my multiple betslip today because had Phillies winning(only lost selection) with Wheeler and all those righties pounding Gordon. Win/win when take the oppo and boys come through :).

I thought I was in the dome watching Danny Darwin. I know he wasn't 1980 but that was my flash back.

Hader would not admit it himself he needs rest because he knows he underperformed last year and did not deliver based on his contract. He wants to be out there every chance he gets but I agree with you he needs more than 1 day rest.

I hope espada is smart enough to not roll him out there tomorrow if the game is close. Let bryan abreu be the closer since he did not pitch today.

Ah Ty, I couldn't see that from my spot, I saw he was kinda slow to get back but didn't see the trainers head that way.

LOL,buddy of mine is a Phillies fan. Not one of the crazy ones, pretty laid back guy.

However he is not happy about getting shut down by Colton Gordon.

They hit Gordon hard tonight, but mostly ATOM balls, right at em.....

Lots of line drives and fly outs, we were pretty lucky they didn't find a hole.

I'd love to buy into Gordon but I just don't see him sustaining his recent success. The only pitcher we called up that I think has what it takes to stick is Gusto.

Baseball is weird. The man gets paid 50M and needs more rest throwing 10 pitches a game.

In defense of baseball and needing rest.

Well. You have to count warm up pitches too, also in this stage of career there is so many miles on that hand and to reach 97mph he needs 100% max effort. Hader getting TJ would pretty much kill our season. This said he has said he will give everything now with the deal and Astros carrying half the risk.

Brewers fkd him over multiple seasons. He was't worth money going multiple innings and only saves counted in arb.hearings.

The road these guys go to get drafted high enough to get chance ever in bigs, then 6 years without really getting paid.....if they are super good that is and are getting service time. Then they will still work their a*s off 6months of the year playing everyday. I don't see needing rest as who are you to ask rest because we paid you.

I have much more distaste for NBA & NFL players who get the bag right away and it shows in attitudes of these young dudes. No humility, respect or struggle to make it. Even when they do shine, you can donk or shoot 3's in 0 intensity league forever. In baseball you are adjusting your whole career as hitter/pitcher. No season guarantees success next season.

This said, ofcourse it's fun to see giants throwing ball and in NFL ex cons bumping to each other. Hard men play 20 games and don't need rest :).
