Good...in line with what I thought he's worth average wise. Was hoping little less per year, but atleast its not a 3yr deal...so I'm okay with it.

Was hoping for a third year team option at $25M per but this will do.

At this # he's a valuable asset and his leadership is clearly valued.

My only thing is that I'd rather he not be here at all.

That said, if he's going to be here, that's a good deal.

Good deal. Reed needs to be starting year 2 of the contract. I don’t mind a 25m/year backup for 1 year. Could be an expiring trade chip too in year 2.

Fred's wife will leave him soon.

Fred: Hey babe, I redid my deal but it's $20 mill less. We have to return the Bugatti and Rolls Royce, sell the Bahamas mansion.

Definitely tradeable contract in his final year...hell even at trade deadline if situation calls for it (which I doubt).

This is great news. We're making smart decisions. Fred is very much worth $25 mill a year for our team. I think this gives us some flexibility for free agents?

I wonder if it’s a front loaded deal like Adams was.

Extremely palatable contract for any team looking for a vet PG who's not on the wrong side of 35.

Fred VanVleet, you are a (future) Sacramento King.

This is a great deal for Fred, the 2 yr deal is also perfect as you'd expect both Amen and Reed to be more than ready in 2 yr time to take over.

Tbh I'm still salty about losing JG and the 10th pick but Adams and now FVV have signed to great deals. If KD signs for below the max as well this yet another masterclass offseason by Stone, his 3rd in a row.

Why Kings? Thats kinda random lol. His 2 yr deal means he'll stay here and sign with snother team in FA.

It benefits Reed to learn from FVV. I see the Durant and FVV contracts/extensions as investments in Reed and Jabari as much as anything else they bring on the court.
