How can you claim the "nuclear threat" has been elminated without providing evidence that the centrifuges have been destroyed? You're making no sense here. Iran will kick out every inspector from the IAEA and we will have zero eyes on any of the facilities now. It was US intel that said if we failed to destroy their capabilities from a strike it would motivate them to build a weapon faster.....

You're a smart individual and I respect you but im just trying to ask for evidence of the claims youre making. Show me some evidence that the centrifuges have been destroyed and the Iranians cant enrich no more?

This guy ran the state department under biden

I'm not stating they don't have the ability to enrich.
I'm saying they will not be allowed to enrich.
This will all be ironed out in a few weeks.
And you can bet there will be inspections built into any agreement.
You can't just enrich uranium without the world knowing.
Every movement by every country is seen by multiple surveillance satellites.

I think you are smart enough to know that.

If this is the end of the war, then nothing was accomplished by Israel, and their motivation had to be political power and nothing else. There was no logical point. If there even was a nuclear program it will go on and they will double their efforts. As they logically would.

-the US already showed its hand by deploying the bunker busters. We dont have anything stronger than that. If the centrifuges are still in tact then why in the hell would the iranians be afraid?

-the ceasefire agreement doesn't allow inspectors into the country. I have no idea where you get this concession from

    - you definitely can enrich uranium without anyone knowing. Do you know how centrifuges are built ? The Pakistanis developed nuclear weapons without anyone knowing until afterwards

How are you going have satellite imagery of what happens underground?

You get it. There's zero evidence we've destroyed their program

What this means is that you respect people who have similar views to yours, and everyone else you just label as woke.

I guess that's the least optimistic way to look at the recent developments.

U.S. scrambles to determine impact of strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/national-security/2025/06/23/us-iran-nuclear-bomb-damage-assessment/

    excerpt:

The thousands of sophisticated uranium enrichment centrifuges at the underground Fordow site were probably significantly damaged, even if they were not directly hit, given the use of deep-penetration bombs and the “extreme vibration-sensitive nature of the centrifuges,” Rafael Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, told IAEA governors at an emergency meeting Monday in Vienna.

But “at this time, no one — including the IAEA — is in a position to have fully assessed the underground damage” at Fordow, Grossi said. The agency won’t know, he added, until its inspectors still in Iran are able to return to the facility.

This was kind of my thought.
Can anyone even get into these sites to do a BDA?
No one I mean no one knows if or how damaged these sites are.
Everything is speculation for clicks until proven one way or another.

I have Persian friends as well and I think it’s a bit more nuanced. They understand that if there is regime change today that the group that takes over is almost certainly more hard line and militant. They are already within the government too and wouldn’t change much if anything about the way of life.

What it seems like the desire is for more freedoms which comes from political changes and they see that as the outside world really being where that change comes from. Iran as a whole being allowed to partner with the west more in trade, business, etc.

So I disagree that most Iranians or Persian Americans want regime change necessarily. I think they want a political solution that makes the country more democratic long term. Restore what the country was pre revolution.

They see the US as vital to that political solution and a big first step is getting Israel in line in order to stop instigating the hard right and fundamentalists in Iran. They blame Israel not because they are antisemitic but because they see Israeli hard right government as instigating the far right of Iran for their own power and political gain, and they think the US fails in their ability to stop that vicious cycle.

Maybe there are some but based on those I know they sure as hell don’t want a regime change that looks anything like Israel and the US coming in militarily and stoking the far right and making the more militant extremists more popular by bombing civilians and assassinating the current regime.

Woke people think when there’s a gathering of real rockets fans at a rockets fan’s house they should let in millions of Utah jazz fans too and have them drink all the beer
