I am very curious to see how they play next year. The Rockets would have to be stupid to play a predominant high screen and roll or Sengun FT post/FT line iso offense again.

We know Durant:
-does not play a lot of screen and roll
-likes to operate top of key or wings to pullup or drive
-likes ball at mid post near wings 16-17 ft out to drive pull up or post up
-passes well to the paint at FT line area
-can pick and pop

I would imagine Durant will get these spots above the break and post areas. Sengun would have to operate weakside low post. He can find cutters and three point shooters in the corner or wing with his dribble drive.

When Sengun gets the ball in his spots Durant likely would either be spread out on the wing, corner or come to a DHO.

I could see great chemistry with Amen cutting baseline or running pick and pops with him.

The concern here is obviously the 2 guard spot with a non shooter there. KD’s playmaking and shooting could nullify that. The other concern is zone and sagging defenses against us. Hopefully Udoka creates enough spacing. How will Amen Sengun and Durant share the ball would also be interesting to see. Does this mean less Fred handling?
