Non shooter after playing about 1 full season as a starter. 1st team defense and should have been DPOY if he would have been starting all year. Asinine.

Amen eventually takes the PG position and we get an actual shooter with size at the 2. Or he develops that jump shot and then it’s over for the league. But yeah I hope we still do something that puts FVV or Amen on the bench and we get an actual veteran shooter to start.

Nah. The eventual backcourt is Sheppard and Amen. It just makes too much sense.

I saw Suns beat writer on KOC reaffirm a prior statement that there is 0 percent Beal is on the team in the fall.

Starting to get excited when I reflect on this.

The Rockets were extremely hard to beat when Jalen Green scored efficiently.

We just replaced Jalen Green with a guy whose average play is Jalen’s peak self,

    Wow.

Unpopular opinion, Michael Jordan couldn't shoot 3s, the Bulls should have traded him in the 80s.

Tmac won an NBA championship for the Rockets.

Making stuff up is so easy!

I think Cam has the potential to be very close to what Jaylen Brown is for the Celtics. I just hope Udoka sees something as well.

I don’t think many realize how much of a scorer Cam is. That boy is straight up buckets. I think there’s a BIG reason we didn’t include him in the trade because I think Udoka wants to give him time to actually play since we don’t have Jalen and Brooks now.

i'm a cam fan and i'm glad he's still here, but i wouldn't assume we wouldn't include him. it's just that phoenix couldn't get him included even if they wanted because of the salary cap considerations. dillon's brooks playoff bonus going from likely to unlikely allowed the numbers to work. that's how tight it was because of phoenix's crappy situation.

Acquiring KD by itself is not as thrilling as it would've been maybe four years ago. However, what is thrilling is how Stone got this trade off as remarkably as he did, with little disturbance to our roster. The Core 7 is now the Core 6 plus KD. Swapping Jalen for KD as the primary scorer/creator is an upgrade.

    Well done.

I don't like Kevin Durant. I don't like his character and we're getting him past his prime. Trading for him is a championship or bust type of move, and I don't think KD's the type of player that can lead a team to a championship based on his previous stints elsewhere. Yes, we have a good team on paper, but I think it's more than likely we don't win a championship while he's here.

The 10th pick the Suns will draft will probably be a productive NBA player long after KD retires; especially if they luck into someone like Khaman Maluach. I'd rather take my chances on the draft than on KD. If it doesn't work out because of lack of minutes, we can still probably trade that pick in 3 years for more than what KD will be worth when he's almost 40.

I'm not much of a Jalen fan either but this team won 52 games with him, so we didn't need KD. We just needed to bring in another veteran guard to compete with Jalen at the guard position in case he didn't improve next season.

I'm done with trying to build superteams around players that were superstars in the 2010s. We should've stayed patient and stuck to building through the draft, hopefully drafting the next superstar. If the opportunity arises for a star player trade, get one that's younger (a la OKC with SGA) instead of someone in the twilight of their career about to retire.

Winning it all is very, very hard and applies to almost every team. Odds are better today than they were on Thursday. Also, it was essentially one pick that had to cover both adding Durant, covering Green's underwater contract, and getting Phoenix willing to accept essentially equal salary.

This was not a championship or best move. The Rockets still have plenty of flexibility.

I said no to KD earlier in the forum due to age concerns(+potential cost). Now that it has happened, I'm excited.

Thank God, Jalen is gone. I couldn't bear to watch him again after what he did in GSW series. Yikes! Another plus is we don't have to hear delusional takes about his performance. Best of luck to him moving forward.

Dillon is appreciated. He's done his job but we needed more. We have alternatives / options on his spot.

Finally, we have someone who can get a bucket. Such a relief. If Amen + Alpi or one of them takes a step forward offensively, we may get one of 'em rings.

Do you think Cam could be the starting 2? Durant at 4 and Amen at 3. Increases our 3pt shooting, which should open up more for Sengun and Amen.
