Dillon was only signed for 2 more years, and JG is signed for an additional 3 with potential to be a negative value contract as early as next season unless he gets significantly better / efficient. We should be focusing on the development of Tari and Jabari anyways, Dillon did exactly what he came here to do, we signed him as a FA. Hes a solid NBA player, but you can get guys like this in free agency, just like we did, and w KD on the Rockets there is a chance people choose Houston over other teams if all else is equal in the FA market the next couple of years.

Funny, reason and critical thinking are what lead me to know Jalen Green wouldn't be worthy of the 2nd pick, before he was even drafted.

Doing homework, is knowing that he will not turn a bad team to a 50 win team (you know, the homework being LOOKING AT WHAT HE'S DONE IN HIS CAREER TO DATE).

This trade is such a huge W, even if we end up not winning a title with KD as long as he stays healthy in his years with us, that'll be enough.

Perfect transition into our youngins entering their prime years (Age 25-32).

In 2 years we'll also have the 29' Suns and Dallas pick as well to round out the roster with some elite players. Amen should be a superstar by then on his current trajectory and hopefully Sengun is still all-star level with one of Reed/Jabari/Tari/Cam taking another step.

 

Literally just moving one guy from the bench to starter while we have two good players in Cam and Sheppard chomping at the bit for playing time. Even without a move the bench is good.
