After the All Star break, Reed shot .440 & .488 from 3. In 3 games started, averaged almost 20ppg on .489 & .520 shooting %'s. Consider that a bench brigade led by Sheppard, every rotation player out except Jalen Green & Jabari, played toe to toe with OKC in March. It took 51 points by MVP SGA to beat a Sheppard led team

That is a small sample size, its 200 total minutes post All Star break. But it showed that Sheppard is trending up not down, that the shooting is there past 1st half struggles. He can at minimum do what Aaron Holiday does with more upside

I seriously anticipated the trade would end up being Green, Jabari Smith Jr., the 10th pick, and cap filler.

Us being able to keep the other young guys -- and I'm late to the game here today so I apologize for being redundant to what so many others have probably said -- is HUGE.

We have more time to assess who we want to extend, it gives us more trade opportunities if we start to get close to the 2nd apron in the coming years, and just give the Rockets so many more options in terms of roster flex down the road.

Kudos to Stone. Interested to see what Fred ultimately signs for in terms of AAV...

Overall he wasn't any good defensively though. He's was typically the worst defensive player on the court for the Rockets at all times.

He had moments, but no one is going to miss Jalen's defense. At all.

He’s absolutely part of the core. Reports were that internally the org views him as possibly the best offensive player on the roster.

    James Harden
    Dwight Howard
    Chris Paul
    Russell Westbrook
    Kevin Durant

Rockets have been able to get some MAJOR talent over the years.

    Pretty unbelievable really.

Reading and hearing how good KD’s year was shooting wise and the DF% meaning he’s still very good defensively makes me very happy. Also Brooks was the #1 guy I wanted gone and Green was easily the 2nd out of players being part of our core. IDGAF about Cam and ecstatic we kept Jabari & Tari!

Kevin Durant, you don't know this now, but you'll be a Houston Rocket at age 37.

Harden was part luck by Morey. He was not a superstar before coming here.

Dwight, cp3 and Westbrook came because of harden.

Durant is a star out of his prime. Let’s see who he bring here.

That's the "blockbusterness" of the trade. FIVE!

I don’t think he really took a big risk, the only asset he lost was the #10 pick in a weak draft.

They still have the ability to add a young star if one becomes available.

The deal for KD lets them be more competitive while Thompson learns and they look for another star.

I guarantee you that at least some of this move was to give the young players better looks and opportunities on offense.
