Brooks was tremendous in asserting leadership and accountability over the last couple years.

That being said, I have some questions about if his shooting would sustain, and his defense had begun to fall off. He was a poor passer and poor rebounder.

I don’t know if he would’ve loved coming off the bench and we have younger players that need to play. We have multiple players that can defend effectively on the perimeter.

I freaking love this guy. I hate that we had to give him up. He was a great fit and an underappreciated key to our success, doing the crucial but unsexy job of guarding the other team's best player. We're gonna miss him.

I'm really gonna miss DB! He was worth every penny on the court and eventually the big contract became the piece to bring in KD. I would welcome DB back at any time!

KD doesn’t need to be the leader. That’s why they kept Fred. Dillon brought an edge to our team that will be missed.

Thanks go out to DB for his on-court work and off-court contributions.

That said, I expect him to be a total psycho when we play the Suns for the first time.

Rockets so damn stupid...you get rid of the heat of the team. Without dilliont, this team will play like a little bich....kd is worthless

When Dillon Brooks was originally signed, many of us here, myself included, thought it was a bad overpay. All he did was prove everyone wrong, and him and VanVleet were integral to helping the young guys develop into a 50-win team.

I’ll be a Dillon Brooks’ fan whenever he’s not playing the Rockets.

I appreciated the junkyard dog ethos he helped create the last couple of seasons.

Thank you Dillon! You brought legit toughness to a soft ass team. You will be warmly welcomed back at the end of your contract to bring it back to a team that's lost it's toughness after the leader Durant has caused the team to regress.

Loved Dillon and this feel like a bigger loss than Jalen. That being said, he struggled to keep up in the playoffs. His defense got worst with every game. And his poor rebounding in clutch situations drove me nuts. Their would be a 50/50 ball in front of him and he would never hustle or jump on the ground for it and the opposing team would scoop it up. It also seemed like other NBA players didn't really respect him. He didn't even stick around the shake the Warriors players hands. I know it's "**** the Warriors" but you've got to have better class than that.

Dillon is going to make Phoenix better and Jalen is going to be traded for a center and a frp or a center and another good role player. We should try to move the Phoenix picks before Phoenix cashes in on Jalen and their 3 frps. Phoenix wants to win now and are not interested in tanking. If they were interested in tanking they would’ve been shopping Booker.

I will miss the Bulldog Brooks.

Definitely took some dumb shots, but earnt them with his heart and tenacity.

Fortunately we have younger, better defensive wings. And an older better shooter now, who can take whatever dang shot he wants

Like a soldier who put in two quality, hard working years of military service in a tour, I appreciate Brooks. His fiery attitude, fight and defensive focus were needed here and helped inject toughness along with the coaching.

Wish him luck and success, off court he was a good person too by all accounts.

He's the epitome of a guy you don't love until he plays for your team, all heart and hustle and energy and attitude.

Definitely will miss that, I hate that he's on the Suns and hopefully he'll get traded to a team actually about winning, preferably out East too because the less we see of him the better. I don't look forward to seeing the Suns next season just because I know he's circled these games.

Good players usually end up on good teams though, even good role players, so I imagine when the Suns are bottom ten at the trade deadline hopefully some team out East trades for him.

Indiana, New York, Bucks (if Giannis stays for now) all make sense. Or even the undermanned Celts or Cavs.

If he keeps his emotions in check and doesn't taunt, I don't have a problem with him and his Villain self.

I'd like to see him on Detroit just so they can bring the Bad Boys image back. A lot of playoff teams can use him though.

Grew on me and definitely was huge for our culture change overall. Best of luck to him for sure. Will be missed.
