I also think you can make the argument that this team could potentially repeat or advance their success even if KD got injured.

Sengun with any efficiency around 5-10 ft last year puts GSW away with one of the worst showings from a SG in playoff history.

Reed giving you 10-15 a night on efficiency.

Tari being healthy and back to a game changer.

Jabari taking that next step with volume and being the same efficient guy we saw the last few months.

Lots of avenues to internally improve with or without KD.

Jalen is going to have 3 kids by next year. Scottsdale girls will drive him nuts.

Only Jalen, Dillon, and 10th pick….BET! I’m with this trade. Load manage him heavy 1st half of season, then ramp him up 2nd half to be ready for playoffs.

Can still make other moves if necessary later. Ok Stone…not bad

I think it's too much they gave up for a 37 year old.

Not sure I'm that down on the PHX side of things. I think Brooks will help them a ton on defense, and intensity of play. That was the main thing wrong with that team last year. Really really soft and everyone just looked like they didn't give a sh$t. No he doesn't rebuild your franchise, but he does give them a chance to really turn thing around next season to at least be more competitive, and be a more interesting play-in type team.

Jalen also believe it or not is a pretty big star with young NBA fans, and I wouldn't be shocked if he gets pretty close or gets voted in as an all-star next season assuming he stays with PHX, and they don't trade him elsewhere. The big question is how he fits with Booker who will again likely be playing PG, or relying on Jalen playing PG where he isn't going to great at setting up Booker like a traditional PG could do better.

But this is not a bust for PHX by a longshot. Their fans will really be excited to have a young "sometimes" star in Jalen, a top 10 prospect, and have a dog like Dillon making their regular season play better. They won't miss KD in the regular season, and they didn't do much in the postseason anyways to make KD's postseason value really useful. From a PHX fan perspective, I think they'll be happy with this deal given the circumstances.

At the start of last season I would not have wanted to get rid of Jalen...during the playoffs I wanted him out as soon as possible...now that some time has passed I feel indifferent...I'm more happy that we got out of Dillon's contract more than anything else...hopefully this means Whitmore gets a chance and he doesn't screw it up...

Posters that think the offense is going to be worse with KD than it was with Green make me LMAO.

listened to Locked On Suns, and they’re basically on suicide watch

“I’m speechless. I’m at a loss for words.”

“I would have rather kept KD.”

“Houston fans are celebrating the departure of Jalen Green.”

“There’s no way this is the best deal that was on the table.”

“This trade goes against everything they said they were trying to do.”

    “This is a disastrous scenario.”

“We’ve known since February that u don’t want Jalen Green. I’m not going to buy the flip-flopping on reporting now that the Suns want him. That is called flipping a narrative that we know is not true. Gambo is trying to put out fires. U tried to get rid of him, nobody wants him.”

The Offense will be better but Durant is not magically playing 80 games plus NBA Cup and Playoff games.

He is very likely only playing 55 ish games if Udoka does not run him into the ground.

So yeah, more games for the young guys......

I like Jalen Green, he gave the franchise hope. But he may have been ruined by Stephen Silas. He was not coached to win, as the Rockets were actively tanking for 2 season prior to Ime coming in board.

You simply don’t turn off the light on someone’s competition drive. Because you may never be able to light a fire under him ever again.

It feels like we are star chasing. I would feel better if we did not give up Brooks.
