No upset at trading Jalen, but I loved the idea of building up a young squad. That contention window is rather small now, 2-3 years max? And they’ll have to tinker around with the roster, aka trade more young assets to make this whole thing work. Unless… another star is coming.

That being said, I love Durants game, he instantly makes us better next year.

 

We desperately needed a closer and now we got one. We need one more piece for real contention.

Still have Cam, Reed, Bari, Tari and a ton of FRPs to work with. Phoenix didn’t even get all their picks back

 

Im guessing this is pretty damn good news for Reed and Cam who now have a pathway for playing time.

If Amen takes another massive jump and the team stays healthy they could have a run like the Pacers did this season in the playoffs.

Let’s go!!! Stone didn’t pay too much, and Durant addresses this team’s weaknesses like a glove. The Rockets needed shooting, a number one offensive option and a late-game closer, and they got one of the best in the NBA. Plus, they can surround him with defenders like Amen Thompson and Tari Eason. Plus, VanVleet is a good defender at point guard.

So happy Stone got it done.
