    Great trade. Jalen needed to go. Brooks was good but he needed to go to open up room. Giving up second is nothing. Giving up #10 isn't bad. Let's do this.

    Try to reduce KD's minutes during the season. He can sit out when he needs to and we have a lot of bench. We lost two starters, one who helped our team and one who didn't for a HOF player who has a lot left for at least two years.

    Stone made an offer and didn’t flinch, despite all the drama. Convinced the Suns he was sweetening the deal by throwing in a fistful of 2nd rounders.

    Nicely played. Keeps the coach happy, too. And KD gets to be with his buddy Royal.

    This was prob the best scenario for the Rockets trading for Durant . We were worried about what is it going to give up for him and you knew this trade was going to happen . We still kept mostly everything we wanted . What your trade rating ? How well did Stone do ? Thoughts ? To me it what happens from here and the moves to make now that makes this trade successful .

    You don't create dynasties by trading for aging superstars. This trade only makes sense if the Rockets had legitimate hopes of winning a championship this upcoming season, but even with KD we are not expected to win. We bailed out the Suns from their poor decision making by making a poor decision of our own with this trade. That 10th pick is valuable because it was another opportunity to get a good player on a cheap contract. Just because it wasn't a top 4 pick, people immediately thought we should trade it...but that's just wrong. Even if you look at our roster, the one's with the most promise (i.e., Sengun and Tari) were drafted mid 1st round so there were going to be talented players still available at the 10th spot.

    Now that we got KD, do we extend him? Because we can't expect to trade him for really anything when this relationship between him and Rockets comes to an end when he's about to turn 40. Just a dumb trade all around.
