Thanks Jalen, you had some moments. Maybe the change in scenery will be good for you. I think this is good for both teams. DD PS. Said it back before he was drafted, still true today, we should have taken Mobley.
I'm glad I can comment on Jalen Green in this thread rather than the Numero Uno thread from here on out. Looking forward to the "OMG we got ripped off" posts here whenever Jalen has his every-five-game blowup when he plays in Phoenix.
Good kid. Tried hard. Was very durable. Fought through adversity including mean personal shots by fans. He wasn’t the guy. I wish him well.
Wish him well. I hope he is being smart with his money though. Hopefully a wake up call to improve his game if he wants to keep on signing big contracts.
Green put in effort and truly made some improvements in his game last season. But he just wasn't the guy he was drafted to be, and as much as we all wanted him to be that superstar scorer, it just feels more and more likely he never gets there. I'll continue to root for this kid, though, and I have zero ill will toward him or his time in Houston. He helped start a rebuild and a new era in Rockets basketball, and I'm thankful for those special moments he gave us in Houston. Best of luck wherever he lands, and I'll happily eat some crow if he turns into a star somewhere else.
