    Agreed 100%
I was in love with him from the first spring training AB I saw from him. You can just see he understands the strike zone and can control it. Combine that with his physical traits and it's really really high the upside. And also not unlikely to tap into it.

To me this is exactly what Meyers needed.

Sometimes you just need to realize you are never going to be President. That you have limitations, and just maximize what is possible for you.

Baseball is a game that must be played by players with many different skills and talents to maximize wins.

Meyers simply does not have the power or power potential to get positive value from fly balls. He has always had below average bat speed and HR/Flyballs.

Defense and speed give him a very high floor. If the ceiling is also very low, then focus on raising the floor rather than hitting a mediocre ceiling.

But, for God's sake - keep him at the bottom of the lineup

    What does this team lack?

    Overall run production?
9 average or better positional starters?
    Left/right balance?
Balanced bench - L/R, power, speed, all positions?
    Legitimate insurance at 8 positions?

    Overall run prevention?
    good D up the middle?
    At least 1 TOR stopper?
At least 4 playoff caliber SP?
    Rotation depth/insurance?
At least 3 very good leverage relievers?
Bullpen depth to prevent fatigue/over work?
    Chemistry?
    Passion/energy?
    Veteran leadership?
    Upside?
    Winning experience /"been there before"?
    Heart?
A Mgr who can be trusted to make good moves?

Are they all needed to win it all?
    What did I miss?

The real Yordan to show up, a lefty guy like Melton to be an average hitter, and health to McCullers and Javier

    1. A lefthanded 2B or OF capable of hitting 6th in the playoff lineup
    2. A Game 3 starting pitcher

I think it’s Arrighetti. Unfortunately we won’t know before the deadline.

MLB radio network was bragging on Hunter. Gave his numbers since June 5th of last year. Ace numbers with ERA under 2.

oh….they also said Framber is probably gone after 2025. Mentioned SF as a possibility.

    1. Brown has been the best pitcher in MLB over the past 12 months.

    2. MLB radio guys have no ****ing clue what Framber and the Astros will do. I didn't know you could do clickbait on the radio, but there it is.

    2. Only people who are stoned, stupid, or don't pay attention think there is any chance Framber comes back.

And as a fan, I will be bewildered or disappointed if he does. Bewildered because he took a deal under 6 years or disappointed if the team commits resources it can use elsewhere for 6 or more.

    FTR I prefer bewildered.

I am stoned right now. I don’t think Framber is coming back. I do have trouble paying attention, but I’m not sure what’s causing that. My memory is still solid. I am stoned right now. I don’t think Framber is coming back.

I've never been acetoned before...is that like huffing paint?

Of course Framber is "most likely" gone.

I wish it was OPS. We are 17th in runs per game I believe. Out offense is very very meh.

Look at the starting pitchers that are suppose to be coming back by 2026,

Framber is about 95% chance gone. Astros will make an offer but be outdone by someone else.

In high-leverage situations, the bullpen has been even better, with the lowest OPS in the majors, holding batters to a .146/.233/.236 line

    We're 14-7 in 1-run games and 5-1 in extra innings...Is it luck?

He's top 3. It's hard to differentiate b/w Witt/Wilson/Pena in the AL. I have no idea what's up in the NL.
