https://motorcyclesports.net/jalen-green-chicago-bulls-blockbuster-trade/#:~:text=His ability to score and,of youthful energy and talent. Jalen and Jabari gone in this article. Nobody wants to trade Jabari, and i understand, but your talking about getting KD? Can the rockets actually say, well he was #3 pick in the draft, - hes coming off the bench ???? 6th man?? and he probably wants similar or near money to Jalen? Yes hes good, but i dont know. He might just turn out to be a glorfied role player here, Houston Rockets Receive: Kevin Durant Phoenix Suns Receive: Nikola Vučević, Jabari Smith Jr., Lonzo Ball, and the No. 10 overall pick (via Houston) Chicago Bulls Receive: Jalen Green and a 2027 first-round pick (via Utah, Cleveland, or Minnesota from Phoenix) Yea this the trade that probably gets it done, IMO, but yea im kinda like well if it doesnt happen still got the team intact, but you have to feel somewhere like some of these believers yea KD, might push you to West Finals vs OKC next year, and it could go 7 games. Would it be worth it? Yea, rockets still can add salary and even possibly KD could take less salary just to get somebody here that could push Rockets past OKC.
Saw a tweet this morning saying the Suns want a trade centered around #10 pick/Dillon Brooks/either Jabari or Tari/salary fillers for KD...I prefer to give up Tari in this deal just because someone made a valid point in this forum: we can play Jabari at the 5 if we play small ball...Tari is limited to play the 3 & 4 and his ceiling is limited...Stone need to get some balls and make this trade! The best GMs not only draft good talent, but they also make impactful trades...since Stone has been our GM, he has yet to make a big trade or meaningful trade to improve our roster...sooner or later you wont be able to hide behind draft picks...playing it safe will only get you so far
That's risky... significant downgrade on defense for moderately better shooting and adding closer. I feel like there's a better fit for that cost.
Honestly, I think we can get that production from Cam Whitmore or Tate...Amen will be our lockdown defender. We can get another on-ball defender via free agency.
Fred and all 3 of those phx picks for KD it’s simple. Give the keys to Amen to be the floor general. That way you get to keep the whole young core together.
With them paying enough to take them out of the market for the next superstar the Rockets want to trade for. Stone has a reason for being in these talks even if they don’t really want KD. Make sure your competitors spend their assets and let the market know what you still have to spend that they covet. Morey did this well with the Lowry pick where he had that Toronto pick on the market for a couple star trades that didn’t work out but after he seemingly “missed” on trades for lesser players, Presti called him up to trade James Harden with that pick being the key asset he wanted.
Phoenix Suns turn up the heat on Rockets demanding more in Kevin Durant trade negotiations https://motorcyclesports.net/phoenix-suns-kevin-durant-trade-negotations/
Yea i agree, seems like if you give UP that much you should atleast get back ayo, and Heuter from bulls but the stakes are high, As is Durant was the #1 option, superstar, for Suns.
Love how the article multiple times talks about “Suns acquiring Durant”. Either written by AI or a human w/ the worst proof-reading in history
Really "motorcyclesports.net" for bball insights? That article couldn't keep the Rockets and Suns straight--terrible editing!
We need to run it back with the young guys. Jabari needs to start over Dillon and we need Reed to eventually get FVV out..
The Suns continue to project confidence that a trade involving star forward Kevin Durant will be agreed to before June 25, the first night of the 2025 NBA draft, sources tell Jake Fischer and Marc Stein of The Stein Line. Phoenix’s front office — led by new general manager Brian Gregory — is “quietly hopeful” it will be able to land a first-round pick in a potential Durant deal to use next Wednesday. The team currently controls one late first-rounder (No. 29 overall) and one late second-rounder (No. 52). Fischer and Stein point to the first-round selections controlled by the Raptors (No. 9), Rockets (No. 10), Timberwolves (No. 17) and Heat (No. 20) as examples of some of the picks the Suns have tried to acquire in Durant trade talks. But they also haven’t been thrilled with the offers they’ve received to this point, which is why a deal has yet to come together. https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2025/06/latest-from-fischer-stein-kd-suns-ware-raptors-knicks-donovan.html
