when is this trade going to finally happen? feels like it should have been last night or today at the latest and if it doesn't happen today we are looking at a draft day trade.

feels like the heat will land him just like they took Bosh from us and took Butler from us when the Rockets felt confident in landing both.

    Spurs or Heat.

it's not just that he can't dribble; he's stiff, he isn't the knockdown sniper from college he was advertised to be, he said he wanted to work on his motor this offseason, he's weak, he hasn't lived up to a guy who prior to draft night was thought of as a #1 pick type

Klay Thompson existed, he could rarely take anyone off the dribble in his prime...

But there are more ways to skin a cat, people used to say the low post game is dead, useless, blah blah blah, then Jokic came around and disproved it.

People used to say you need to be able to shoot to be a star, blah blah blah, then Giannis disproved it.

People used to say that mid range is dead, useless, blah blah blah, now SGA is here to disprove it.

There are more ways to skin a cat, all that matters is if you can put a player in his spot to succeed, that's it. If Jabari can consistently hit mid range shots and that turn around shot he does, it's very easy to get him the ball in those spots for him to shoot it, all without him ever having to face up a player for the entire game.

So, with what you've said, you're saying Dirk couldn't be an all-star in today's game? You really believe that?

To summarize: Jabari's NBA ceiling and floor are lower than previously thought.

I still think Heat. They're the most likely team to be desperate. The odds stuff is nonsense, as it is 99% of the time (including when it was similarly in favor of Minnesota/Miami a few days ago).

My guess is today or tomorrow. If the Suns were really gonna try playing the "hey guys, we might just keep him and delay this until the season" card, they'd have leaked that by now. The fact that they haven't makes me think they're intent on closing ASAP.

More summertime insanity: Put words in someone's mouth by bringing Dirk into a Jabari discussion.

Players are not locked into what they are at 22 years of age.

    He's not stiff, he's 6'10.

How is him wanting to work on something a knock exactly? Sounds good to me.

No, he hasn't lived up to the hype but again, players are not their final products at 22, you guys literally would have traded Giannis away because "He can't shoot, he can't dribble, he'll never be this or that..." is kind of my point. This is why the Rockets are not as willing to trade him away because they understand players actually do have the ability to improve.

Maybe so but other odds places have SA as a big leader now too. Not THAT big, but much higher than yesterday. Something must be going on...

Lol. The Spurs adding geriatric-ass KD to their 30-win-ass team puts us behind them.

    Sure thing man.

Neither has Jalen but at least Jabari hasn't been a negative on the court.

Sam said "A stretch 4 role player who can't really guard down? Meh. Not an all star, and not that useful."

Again, Dirk a stretch 4 with mediocre at best defense, using that logic, Dirk also wouldn't be an all-star in today's NBA.

I brought up Dirk as well because yall act like you need to be able to have good ball handling to score, when players have proven that wrong. That's all.

It's not comparing the two, it's "Well, this all time player wasn't a great dribbler and succeeded, so therefore it CAN be done" because we are acting like it hasn't been done.

Yes, Dirk is a better shooter, everyone knows all this, but again yall act like a player at 22 is who he is and can never change.

Pro-Jabari people are saying, MAYBE he does become the sniper at three, would you rather that happen on the Rockets or on some other team? I know for damn sure I don't want to hear any whining if we send out Jalen or Jabari or whoever and they go off somewhere else. Not from this website.

Stone has to realize MOVE ON to something else.... Ja Morant, Jaylin Brown, Derek White, LaMelo Ball we need an automatic offensive weapon. Make it happen. Don't let FVV or Brooks relationship with Ime detour what needs to be done.
