Cam is as likely to break out into another level than he is to hit a wall. Both are possible but there’s as much upside as downside. It would not surprise me at all if Smith is hitting in the top half of the lineup by August.
We did fall back from number 2 to number 3 in West. That is the only standing that really matters. Division lead is of minor importance given the wild card structure. Top 2 is the goal. Obviously a half game doesn’t matter this time of year, but that race is the one we should watch.
With the success he's had with a crap launch angle, it's almost impossible he doesn't make a jump but I'd don't think it will be this season. He needs to fix the launch angle in the off season.
