gellin green needs to stay and finish his contract. trade van fleet for commander shepard's backup pg.
I truly don't understand why they signed him to that contract. They should be like the Warriors right now with Kuminga. Let the market dictate the price, or work out a SnT to get something back.
Stone thought he was cooking with both the KPj and Jalen Green contracts and they still blew up in his face lol.
Easy, Jalen is Stone’s guy, if he admits Jalen's failure, he admits his own failure. He wasn't willing to do that when he gave out that awful contract.
I'm a little worried JSJ is going to be in demand such that he's essentially worth his contract after this year. I have similar concerns about KD as I think he's still great at times, but isn't a star every game. KD would take most of JSJ's minutes. I don't know how I would feel if this trade went down even if it included the No. 10. It addresses one of the issues with trading for Durant (salary in 27-28). Rockets would likely be much better in the short term, and would likely have a flexible roster in 28-29. Roster FVV Reed Amen Brooks Cam KD Tari Sengun Adams On paper, that looks like a really good defensive roster that has a guy that can get hard buckets with shot clock running down in the short term. I just don't like giving up on JSJ even with my concerns.
This thread did not age well, never, ever will Jalen Green be the first option of a contending team - never in a million years, he doesn't have it in him, he is soft soft soft. DD
I'm not so sure, I would assume that it was some GM's kid trying to prank me like Shedur Sanders if I heard that offer for Jalen.
Ugh I hope not. What a waste of a summer that would be. He better keep working on that 3PT shot, he improved drastically last summer at one half of 3PT shooting (catch and shoot) while remaining bad at the other half (pull up shooting). One more improvement like last summer puts him in the territory of Damian Lillard's career 3PT%. That's the low hanging fruit. That works in any offense. That will make defenders guard you closer, so you can get to the rim more with your existing handles. Getting slightly better at midrange is not going to change anything. No one is going to guard him any different. The paint and midrange area is clogged. Sengun operates there. Amen's defender is hanging out there too. Your defender's dream is for you to drive into a crowded area, rise up suddenly while trying to keep your balance and take a shot worth only 2 points (at less than 50%) which rarely ever comes with FT's. Hope it's not the case he's just focusing on midrange jumper. I hope what we're seeing is he's focusing in general on his pull up technique (both 3's and midrange). He improved 10% on his catch and shoot % last summer. If he can improve 4% on his pull up 3's this summer, he will be able to get efficient regardless of playing for one of the only coaches in the NBA who makes offense harder on his players. Shooting over the clogged paint is the logical solution and is transferrable to any system and team too.
All that would do is make Jalen announce that he's deactivating his social media and to keep his 60 year old GF out of it.
