What does population or land mass have to do with anything?

There's no reason to believe this war will be fought anywhere but the skies and/or perhaps some commando type actions on the ground where those considerations are of little relevance.

I don't think anyone is seriously supposing the IDF is going to send a land army into Iran? Why would you?

    Israel can obtain more munitions.

They aren't going to give up their undertaking and ignore the threat of a nuclear Iran because they are temporarily running low on munitions.

They can obtain more munitions, hopefully not from the USA.

Israel has been very war like recently.

I can't believe the President of the United States is tweeting such childish posts. It's embarrassing.

Sadly, we've seen this dynamic with other issues. After a week or so of coordinated messaging across the right-wing media/pulpit world, the number of evangelicals/Republicans in favor of war will rise to a majority and, I'm guessing, eventually hit 80% or more.

And by now, haven't we learned that you cannot win a non-nuke war through the air? You can kill a bunch of people and destroy a bunch of things, but it takes boots on the ground to win a war and neither the boots or the win will happen in Iran. "Shock and awe" is not enough. The Dresden fire bombing is not enough.

If the nukes happen, Lord help us all.

None of these guys making decisions in DC have any clue as to the forces they are playing with or have any real understanding of the history of the national cultures involved. It will not be painless. There will be blowback. There will be a myriad of unexpected and unintended outcomes. "Nobody could imagine!"

And once you commit to a military action, it becomes damn near impossible for a self-described "strong" leader to pull back. The historical trend is that they keep escalating. Just one more surge should take care of it, right? Sunk cost fallacy. Normalization of risk. Political expediency. Ego. Racism. Religious fervor. Fantasy outcomes. Wealth. Irrational hope. All those things and more make it ridiculously difficult for even the best President to stay objective the second we cross a border and take an offensive action. If you have one who believes things happen in their favor just by the force of will, well, it always results in a tough lesson for that person and the people they lead.

This ain't a video game and none of these actors are anything more than the fragile human beings we all are.

Ego is the scariest part with someone like Trump. Stroking his ego is an easy way to manipulate him into doing someone's bidding. Kim Jong Un knows that, Putin knows that, the Saudi regime knows that, and Israel is now doing the same by putting up billboards like this....

That article was yesterday's news. That being said, I'm sure that little bit of ego stroking to make Trump out to be the hero to save them might override anyone in his cabinet trying to stop him from joining in on this war.

Here is my anti Israeli solution to the conflict:

Iran gives up its nuclear ambitions and stops funding proxies in Palestine and Lebanon and makes peace with the state of Israel but no friendly relations. Iran gets all sanctions fully dropped and gets to sit at the big boy table.

Israel gives up all its nuclear weapons and annexes both Gaza and West Bank and supports the millions of Palestinians over the next decade as they integrate into a common society multicultural society. Can call it either Israel or Palestine, but it’s the same land/nation with one constitution that ensures equal rights and protections for both groups any future minority groups who may go on to call it home. Israel no longer needs US arms and stops getting billions in aid. Israel makes peace with all its neighbors including ISIS Syria and they all recognize its right to exist. But they don’t have to be friendly.

No more people have to die over this conflict and we can have a belle epoque for the Middle East.

Israel would have zero incentive to accept this deal. They get nothing out of it, accept the demands of Hamas that they have steadfastly refused for decades, become a minority in their own country, and give up their military advantages. In exchange they get empty promises that they won't be killed. Why would they do this? Why would anyone do something even remotely similar?

They would not have to move and nor would their life change in any meaningful way. Israelis are not a homogenous bunch already. The ultimate goal of Israel was to be a refuge for the Jewish diaspora and this absolutely would be that. They would be able to live safely. And they wouldn’t need a military advantage because they have no adversaries in this vision of peace.

I am a little baffled that Tucker is siding with Iran on this and going against maga...........we know Putin doesn't want Israel to attack Iran and has even put out some tweets (for show only) telling trump to stay out of it. After Tucker`s performance piece at a Soviet supermarket last year, me thinks he may be a Russian mouthpiece

I hope the WH can keep trump in check..........................LOL, did I just type that out for real :D

I am tired of giving so much money to Israel, I dont know why we have to give them Billions year after year, I know almost nothing about Iran except they have like 90 million people, but their Supreme Leader is a religious zealot. These fights have been going on for years, if your gonna blow each other up then get on with it, but you should get no help from us

I feel badly for the "people" of each country as they each have a fool leading them and another fool on the sideline wanting to have his ego stroked so he can claim he saved the day

They have more of an air of objectivity because they don't have talking head partisans. However, they never criticize the status quo. They are corporate cheerleaders - that's how they make their money. And many of those corporations are part of the military industrial complex. There are also interlocking directorates where board members sit on both the board of ABC and Boeing for example. Every time a war or conflict breaks out, a retired general will be on TV to shill for it. And the general is often profiting of the war himself.

Lmao I cant believe MAGATS are still spewing the nuclear threat bogus after all evidence points to other way.

@Space Ghost hey low iq troll this is what war mongering actually looks like. Creating a false pretext to invade a sovereign nation. Its not supplying weapons to a country thats been invaded.

Its hilarious how quickly the MAGATs turned into neocons

I don't know who is lying. Maybe they all are. I know I'll never believe a pathological liar like Trump, but also have no reason to believe Iran or Israel's leaders either.

The Iranian Mission to the U.N. said “no Iranian official has ever asked to grovel at the gates of the White House,” in a post on X responding to Trump’s claim made minutes earlier that Iran had contacted his administration, writing “the only thing more despicable than his lies is his cowardly threat to ‘take out’ Iran’s Supreme Leader.”

The worst mistake Israel made was to bomb Iranian civilian targets especially professors and scholars. Anyone who knows anything about Persian culture knows they respect education very hey much. Israel should've just bombed military targets but by killing professionals and scholars they crossed the line. I've been stalking Persian telegram channels and they did a 180 after the professionals were bombed.

You cant force regime change in Iran unless you commit to ground forces which the iranians know will never happen. Aerial bombing is just going piss off more people
