Because we hit LHP well? Do you think the Astros wouldn’t start Framber if we are facing a team that hits LHP really well? Rodon is making $27M, is their #2 starter and has been really good this season. You would lose the farm. Regardless, there’s no chance we play in the WC series against them so it would be in the divisional or ALCS.
They should have taken him out after the 6th but I guess he was rolling and they wanted to see what he could do.
Reports last night he was being recalled. Since it was less than 10 days it needed to be for an injury. The only position players that didn't play last night were Caratini and Rodgers. So unless it was a pitcher I would guess we will find out one of those is hurt.
He's a stopgap guy that doesn't project to be meaningful, I'm sure the Astros want him to gobble up as many innings as possible. Particularly non competitive ones like the 7th last night. Save every reliever inning you can, especially while we're using the 6 man rotation.
This was announced before Guillorme came into the game last night so that’s not possible. It has to be Rodgers or Caratini unless the reports of him being recalled aren’t accurate
Yep, I was driving listening to the radio broadcast and they mentioned he hadn't pitched into the 7th this year. Then bink, bink, bink, error
My favorite part of the radio broadcast last night was them rolling in and out of breaks with the 5 second intro to Seinfeld.
There's still no official listing of the transaction on their website. Last transaction is placing McCullers on the IL.
