In terms of perceived value, Jalen is easily the worst of the guys we've drafted. He's above Jaesean Tate or Aaron Holiday though.
That doesn’t work in the trade machine, but how about: Jabari+Jock+Hiliday+10 If that tweet is correct, this should suffice on their request with multiple useful vets and promising youth. #10 is more valuable than any two pick combination they will receive. This still might be an overpay with his health concerns, but if he’s healthy, that contract will be a great value going forward.
No to Bari being included... And it totally works (or should) in Trade Machine. It's $25M (Trey) for $25.6M (Cam + Brooks)
Yeah I just left an X there because they would obviously want to improve the SG spot. Probably the C too because Missi can't protect the rim but at least he's young if they feel like developing players. Just strikes me as weird they would think of trading him before anyone but Zion.
Last year before the draft Portland identified a player they really really wanted. They gave up a couple unprotected 1sts, which looked like an overpay at the time. But Deni turned out to be their best player last year. He fits their timeline and he’s on one of the best contracts in the NBA. We need to do the same. Identify an up and coming player we think will be a core building block piece that fits our timeline, and go out and make a deal. Trey Murphy seems like that kind of player.
Most of the Small Market Teams are basically the Minors for the Lakers, Lakers stealing Star Players for Decades.
New Orleans out: Trey, #7 New Orleans in: #3, Bkn swap, Dillon, Drummond, Gordon Outlook: Get 2 solid picks, a playoff vet and a young player with upside. Package some of that return with there own to move up and take a big swing on VJ Edgecome or Ace Bailey. Philly out: #3, Drummond, Gordon Philly in: #7, #10, Cam Outlook: Trade down like they are rumored and looking to do. Shed drummonds contract which gives them amazing flexibility if they get off his contract. Swap Gordon with Cam Houston out: Dillon, Cam, #10, Bkn swap Houston in: Trey Outlook: Consolidation trade to upgrade and get younger at the SF spot. Trey is not only an upgrade hes on a very similar and fair contract for years to come. Fred Jalen Trey Amen Sengun ______ Tari Bari Adams Reed
I like Trey Murphy and Keon Ellis as targets in this regard. Neither will be stars tho I dont think, but very high end starters/role players.
I feel like Trey Murphy will be a star. I can see him being an allstar as early as next season. I think the Pels would be crazy to trade him but Dumars gonna do his thing.
Here's what the Rockets should demand for Jalen Green: All-Star Caliber player Rising Star on cheap contract 7 FRP's unprotected 7 SRP's $10 million cash considerations
I'm surprised Murphey's available at all. I thought he was part of New Orleans' core. I'd like the team to go after him even around that asking price. He's a great floor spacer and good defender. His contract is long and team friendly. He just turned 25 years old today. He's a perfect fit for us. Maybe only offer one pick though as part of the trade package rather than multiple.
