I said hardly. I didn't say at all. Green's contract is manageable and Lauri's probably is as well. Beal/PG13, I agree. Jrue's is also manageable, about 20% of the cap, his usage went down quite a bit with Brown and Taytum there and White, but still a very good player. I don't think the Celtics will have a hard time moving his contract.

Strangely enough... I am not completely opposed to this option.

Green is not a bad contract. It was strategic to get something back if involved in a trade and only put down as a 3 year deal if not.

Jalen Green Desmond Bane comparison. Bane is clearly more efficient and better, but when you consider their ages...

at this point I think a team is going to come out of nowhere and trade for him. I am thinking the Pistons.

His ego is too fragile to end his career in Detroit

I think what it’s coming down to is getting the salaries to match. Phoenix doesn’t want FVV. They’ll prolly take Jalen but even then that doesn’t match. Then Stone doesn’t wanna send out Jabari or Tari and we’re back to square one trying to get creative with salaries.

No one is willing to meet the Suns demands and that’s after reports they lowered the price. WTF were they asking for before? All their picks back plus Amen and Sengun probably.

Poor Stone probably feels like he’s negotiating with children.

Or a third team that needs Jalen Green more than does Phoenix (Booker, Beal).

The younger me would waste time imagining such a scenario. I'll speculate offline.

    Stone isn't stupid.

I trust his decision making and how much he values the assets the Rockets have available.

we're prob offering JG, salary fillers (no young players like Jabari) plus pick #10, that's it. if not, happy to see KD go to Spurs instead.

Tbh I think if we we're even offering that; the trade would already be done.

Bear in mind that we "allegedly" have interest in pick 10 from the Nets (Cam Johnson and #19 for pick 10).

It should influence what we are thinking of doing

Gambo: Debating offers internally and negotiating with these other teams. Whoever had the best offer last week may not have the best offer this week. Right now, we're talking about debating the offers and negotiating.

Can we even trade with Phoenix for Durant without giving up FVV or Jalen?

Brooks and who would cover that salary?
