It was sincere, why would the Knicks commit that kind of salary and give away a key piece for a 37 year old? They just made the ECF.

Yeah that is a hell no.
Would give them all their picks back and Jalen, nothing else.

Why would we give them their picks back? Has everyone just lost their minds? He's 37 and makes way too much money. It only makes sense if he agrees to a 3 year 90 million dollar extension which there is no way he will do that. They can keep KD and we will cash in on number 1 picks in 27 and 29. Screw them if they don't want to deal with us.

    This x infinity!

That's what folks don't get, The Suns have no leverage. They're a second apron team (way too expensive to not be a contender), they can't trade Beal, and don't want to trade Booker. Additionally, we control their draft capital every other year until 2029. We can walk away from them and still be in a great position and they will still be stuck. So why overpay?

Because we don’t need more 19 year olds.

Unless they get a deal that makes them better elsewhere making their picks low ones.

You know there are options other than 'take a 19 year old' and 'give them all back', right?

We honestly don't need to draft for 5 or more years....not a single player, but those picks only have value if Phx tanks, if they trade with Minny, and get Gobert, Dillingham and maybe someone else....they might be a playoff team, rendering all those picks not worth so much.

Now, that being said....fine......I don't want to trade Jabari at al.....I wouldn't break the bank for a 37 year old rental player.

Suns came out and said they are doing what’s right for the franchise so hopefully he’s shipped where he doesn’t want to be.

This is the way @Little Bit ! If we replaced FVV with White, we get better on both sides of the ball and invest our money in a reasonable contract that's attached to a very good player with championship experience. Now if we can get White and still pull in KD for a rational return, that could make us a true contender...

    Sengun/Adams
    Bari
    KD
    Amen
    White/Reed

Trade Chips: Jalen, FVV, Brooks, Tari, Cam, Landale, Holiday and picks

Whoever we don't trade fills in the bench and maybe we can add a Hauser or others in the trades. I'd be truly interested to see KD's influence on Cam, that may could be his light bulb moment.

Just too much to give up, when we have the leverage.

The thing if Derrick White could choose between playing with Wemby, Fox, Dylan Harper and Jalen Green, Bari, Amen, Sengoon.....how would he choose....

Kind of shortsighted to think those picks that will be good future assets can only be used to draft. Jalen + all the Suns picks is an overpay for 37yo KD—regardless of how much people dislike Jalen.

Was walking my dog this morning and the homeless guy that screams obscenities at the dumpster told me he's an insider with sauces and says the thing holding up the deal right now is that the Suns are trying to get Memphis in on the deal to get their pick back they got in the Magic trade. Take it for what its worth.

We don't but the value of those picks could get us a much better player than KD. Like JJJ would fit nicely on this team I'd rather trade for him if the price is that much. I'd rather trade for Trey Murphy. You realize Orlando didn't have valuable picks so they had to give up more. Our suns picks are gold mines.
