    Let’s trade with the Grizzles:

    10th

    For

    16th and
    2026 Suns / WAS / Grizz pick?

Keep in mind that KCP contract is negative value hence the overpay for Bane as well.

I’m jealous of the 2026 Suns pick that Memphis now has. I’d probably trade anyone not named Amen or Sengun for that pick.

I've never bought this narrative, we have far, far too many counter-examples, from Steve Nash to CP3 to Stockton to Kyle Lowry to [list goes on and on].

Jalen was a better jump shooter this season--but as far as career averages go, FVV's is significantly better. This could be a sign of Jalen having improved significantly and Fred having already regressed--one or both are real possibilities. Or, they could both revert back to right around their career averages. None of those possibilities would surprise me.

The rockets letting everyone think/know how much they value and love FVV is all BS, rockets are trying to increase his value etc… FVV is a Ime guy not Stone. Remember Stone wanted Harden back. I’m thinking Stone is making Ime decide on FVV or KD.

Washington has swap rights on that pick

Oh, didn’t realize that. But there’s a strong chance Washington finishes poorly enough for those swap rights not to convey. It’s still likely to be a really really good pick.

He shouldn’t have to make Ime decide. He should grow some balls and do what is best for the Rockets. He is the GM, supposedly.

I can see that. The best thing for the rockets is to let Fred go just to keep the young core in place and KD. Especially now that Steven Adams is back.

You’re absolutely right, but I think Stone compromised with the FVV signing over Beard. I hope Stone step in and make the right decision for the team.

Stone is a Fertitta guy, meaning it is likely Fertitta regretted letting Harden go.....

Wanted KPJ to emulate Harden.....there is some love for Harden there.

I really hope the Spurs do this and end up giving too much

It might be annoying having them as actual competitors for a year or two but if they crater their depth for KD and Wemby ends up being super injury prone in his prime years like Embiid they could really mess up their long term prospects

Earlier I posted a hypothetical where the Suns get Nic Claxton as opposed to Vucevic:

To PHX: Nic Claxton, Dillon Brooks, Jock Landale, 2027 PHX pick
    To BKN: Jalen Green, #10
To HOU: Kevin Durant, someone named Tyrese Martin

That deal gives PHX a starting center, a starting SF, one of their picks back, and gets them under the second apron if they waive Jock and some dude named Vasilije Micic.
