Neither of Giannis and Durant answers the Question of What's Next after there is no Championship. Back to the drawing boards? Back to the Draft for a Number 1 Pick? That is exactly the conundrum Phoenix is facing......should they go to the Draft or should they look out for another Durant?
Newsflash: The Spurs are already out....due to Phoenix not wanting Vassell, Keldon and Barnes..... and they are okay with whoever at Harper, still Castle and their next target
that deal would be great if it was actually true get rid of Jalen and his contract upgrading his offense with KD’s Dillon Brook’s perimeter defense isn’t as important with Amen and Tari still on the roster…we’d miss his surprising 3 point shooting, but we’re adding KD…hopefully Reed shows a pulse and becomes a bonafide shooter for us Jock is a 3rd string C…irrelevant with Steven Adams back on a new deal Cam is a bench shot chucker with questionable attitude who’s not even in the rotation and got zero play in the playoffs…1 of our most expendable young players 1 FRP send it in Stone FVV/Reed Amen/Holiday KD/Tate Bari/Tari Sengun/Adams look to upgrade Holiday and Tate when it comes to the bench Rockets would have a top 10 offense and top 5 defense
Sure bub, I guess Sochan was in Phoenix recently https://www.si.com/nba/spurs/news/s...-amid-kevin-durant-trade-reports-01jxrprd0589
Nothing I want to give, as I've mentioned he's not worth it and there are much better alternatives as we're doing great our progression and potential. So I'm passing on the jump and focused on other things and players. But if I had to choose I would take Minnesota's package, unless we overpay which I absolutely would not do. You get a true win now center which they badly need, a young player with potential and picks. I asked AI what the consensus was Phoenix wanted using x.com, sports media from both cities and national personalities. Even if they take less in negotiations, they're not taking Jalen, Landale and a pick, we would feel it IMO so I'll pass, but again I could be wrong we'll see. That price to send out talented young players plus his contract and age is a classic NBA team trade mistake which can cripple a team. AI Answer: Here’s a breakdown of consensus trade proposals for Kevin Durant based on reporting from Arizona Sports, ESPN, and Sports Illustrated, reflecting what the Phoenix Suns are seeking from each major suitor: Houston Rockets Phoenix reportedly wants: Jalen Green (SG, $33.3M) Jabari Smith Jr. (PF) Cam Whitmore (SF) Reed Sheppard (No. 3 pick, 2024 Draft – optional) 2025 & 2027 1st-round picks (originally Phoenix’s own) Possibly 1–2 second-rounders This package gives Phoenix a mix of young talent and a chance to reclaim their own future picks, which they lost in the original Durant deal. Minnesota Timberwolves Phoenix reportedly wants: Rudy Gobert (C, win-now salary match) Rob Dillingham or Terrence Shannon Jr. (rookie guards) 2025 or 2026 1st-round pick This is a more win-now package, allowing Phoenix to stay competitive while adding youth and a pick. Gobert’s contract is hefty, but his defensive presence could help stabilize the Suns’ frontcourt. Miami Heat Phoenix reportedly wants: Nikola Jović (F) Jaime Jaquez Jr. (F) Andrew Wiggins (via third team, e.g., Golden State) 2026 1st-round pick This package is more about depth and versatility, though Miami may struggle to match the upside of Houston or Minnesota’s offers. San Antonio Spurs Phoenix reportedly wants: Keldon Johnson (SF) Devin Vassell (SG) Jeremy Sochan (F) 2025 or 2026 1st-round pick (No. 2 or No. 14 overall) San Antonio has the draft capital and young wings Phoenix covets, but it’s unclear if they’d part with their top picks unless Durant agrees to an extension
If this is true (it probably isn't) it sounds like Houston and Miami...If that's the case, we should painlessly be able to beat their offer.
Be funny if they trade for Durant with FVV in package James Harden, Westbrook sign for vets just to join in. lol All 3 for 2 year championship run.
Lol Durant just got 26 pts a game with shooting 52% and 43% in Suns last season. He definitely can solve our offense drought.
So was it real this year ( the 2 seed ) ? I'm not bein a wisea$$, genuinely asking. Cuz there were lots of times I didnt quite buy it. Lots of people said it, often. Definitely a weird 2 seed. The Rockets busted their a××es most games when most teams didn't, and clearly valued regular season results more than most squads/FO's...Im really wondering if that approach/effort/intensity wavers. I don't want it to, but who knows
But you got a try to keep him with Jalen amen jabari sengun , either with ffv or brooks , Gotta do Fvv or Brooks, cam tari or reed and 10th and just future first if means to get it done, U can't do both Jalen or jabari, Durant is would help green so much It's just sengun amen Durant as ur main offense, Durant is gonna get doubled alot
Ishiba also wants to be even more involved in the player management process including drafting and trading. It’s hilarious but good news for the rockets
I'd be okay with FVV, Tari, and Jabari (add '27 pick if needed). This way we could keep Brooks, who has a better contract than Jabari or Tari will get, and we can use #10 for depth. There will finally be minutes for Cam as well.
From what Athletic and Shams are reporting now, it's between Spurs and Rockets. I would honestly be shocked if he doesn't end up on the Rockets because Spurs have flat out a worse package if it's between. Vassell, Barnes, 14th or Green, Brooks, 10th FVV, Cam, Tari also works but I'd be hesitant to give up the 10th pick if it's this package. Any other talks are just Suns trying to leverage the Rockets into giving up more. Also, not sure why so many fans here want to give up Jabari for KD, that would be a huge mistake considering what the Spurs are offering.
