Durant would definitely fix the offense especially if Jalen were to actually stay around. KDs presence would open up Jalen Greens game more.
He would make it better, yes for sure. I just don't have good feelings about a 37 year old when the whole league is getting younger stars. It feels like going against the trend.....which I think Udoka is a master of but usually the multiverse finds its way back.
The issue with Durant is he's an untradable, blocked player. We sign him to a 2 year extension we may get him for 3 years (healthy or not) and then what? He's gone without us getting any more compensation. We are not built for a 2 year window but the long term, so any trade for Durant can't take away our ability to add to this team going forward. And no, we can't depend on free agency to fix us.
I read you think Tari Eason is going to be an all nba defensive player next year like Mikal and contend for defensive player of the year playing 50 games and 25 minutes a night off the bench... I'm gonna say no... I like Tari. To pretend he's not injury prone with limits on his offensive game is silly. He's in the perfect role... all nba defense apparently according to you...
Don't give him an extension. Take the cap space he and FVV give us and go shopping... Just an option.... FVV leaving alone would keep us under 2nd apron.... I think if Durant's deal end when Amen extension starts it's ideal...
Could the asking price drop if we pull a Pelinka? “Luka’s fat and he may become a free agent in a year…”
PHX want Bari, Tari, and all their picks back. I could see them valuing FVV too. FVV Book Tari Jabari Not a bad 4.
If I’m Booker and Phx I want FVV Amen and Reed will have to get bump and bruises at PG Amen JG KD Bari Alpi Amen and Bari will more than cover the loss of DB or if we keep DB you bring him off bench KD been training with JG for last 2 years, I don’t see him coming to Houston to NOT play with him …
One thing is for sure, Durant is still one of the NBA’s elite scorers even at this late stage of his career. He averaged 26.6 points, six rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 52.7 percent from the field and 43 percent on six three-point attempts per game this past season for Suns in his 17th NBA season. Durant and three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic were the only two players in the league who averaged at least 25 points per game while shooting better than 50 percent from the field and better than 40 percent from three-point range last regular season. In fact, Durant has averaged at least 25 points per game while shooting 50 percent or better from the field and 40 percent or better on threes in three straight regular seasons for the longest such streak in NBA history, according to ESPN research. Durant also shot an NBA-best 49.7 percent on jumpers, an NBA-best 53.1 percent on midrange shots and an NBA-best 50.9 percent on off-the-dribble jumpers, according to GeniusIQ. https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/nba/miami-heat/article308671085.html
Yes, KD mentors JG. I can’t see him not wanting to come here and help him reach his full potential along with helping a 52 win team contend for a title. FVV, Tari, and picks should get this done.
The more i've had time to sleep on it and reflect, the more i want KD here. **** it, man. Lets get crazy. 40 is the new 20.
