I think our president is on the wrong side of this war/conflict. It may not be in OUR best interest to continue funding or supporting the Ukrainian's. But....... in order to stabilize any relations with those in the EU and countries that are our allies we need to show an amount of support. We should give as much support as any country supporting. Not more but equal. We can't always be the world's protector, but we can do our part as long as we are not shouldering most of the burden. We need Europe and other countries to be in our corner when and if the shite ever hits the fan with North K. China or Russia. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Ukraine should not have chosen to escalate the conflict. Not smart -- and now they are in the "find out phase" -- while looking for others to blame. This war will never end with this type of mindset.
Sadly there is a majority war mongers in both parties. This is especially true in Congress which is influenced by the heavy money for reelection and the lobbying from the for profit arms industry. It is interesting that on this proxy war there are many more Republicans than usual dating back to Vietnam and the Iraq Wars I wonder if this because with the usual folks fighting our frequent losing wars are not college grads who tend to be Dems.
