I was awakened from my Sunday morning nap (which coincides with the young'un's morning nap) by my neighbor knocking on my door. He wanted to inform me that my Kerry/Edwards sign was taken along with his Morrison (DeLay's opponent) sign at some point that morning or the previous night. Of course, the Bush and DeLay signs across the street were untouched.
Put up another sign in your yard and coat it with that stuff that Bruce Willis used in the Jackal when he coated the car trunk and if people touch it they die. Of course you need to warn your family about it first. Or you could pee on the sign and then put it up.
same story in my neighborhood in North Harris county my and as well all the other Kerry and Lampson signs have been stolen many times while the Bush/Poe signs remain untouched
I guess the Bush supporters must be feeling really desperate if they feel that such a theft is necessary to reduce support for Kerry. I guess they were scared that the families out for Halloween would see all the Kerry signs in the neighborhood. Wastes of air (at least the ones who decided to take the signs).
I have a relatively new house in a new construction neighborhood...My new house has a Bush/Cheney sign, while my neighbor has a Kerry/Edwards sign...Before the signs, we hadn't had a chance to speak, but we have in good rapport... He broke the ice first, and I think he has decided I am alright as a new neighbor...(Either that or he was nervous seeing my militant-like Jeep complete with an American flag with "blackwater" written underneath)...
Well i think you could get in trouble for that. So i would recommend this. My roomate as a joke bought a 15$ bottle of hot sauce. This stuff is very potent. I put maybe one drop in my food and when i tasted it, the sensation lasted about 15 to 20 minutes. Its 450 times hotter than a jalepeno and mase. So put some on the sign. The warning says not to get any on the hands. Because just a little water will not get it off. And it says if you put more than a few drops on your hand it will make your eyes water just from bringing your hand close to your face.
If you think it is bad here... Voting tricks hitting new low Shocking tactics on both sides stun election officials in battleground states By JO BECKER and DAVID FINKEL Washington Post WASHINGTON - As if the 2004 campaign hasn't been mean-spirited and complicated enough, here comes the dirt. Registered voters who have been somehow unregistered. Democrats who suddenly find they've been reregistered as Republicans. A flier announcing that Election Day has been extended through Wednesday. Dirty tricks are a staple of campaigns, but election officials say this year's crop could achieve new highs in numbers and new lows in scope, especially in key battleground states such as Florida and Ohio. "In my 16 years as an election administrator, I've never seen anything like this," said Ion Sancho, supervisor of elections in Leon County, Fla. "It's not partisan, but it's just lie, cheat and steal, and ethics be damned." Students at Florida State, Florida A&M and the University of Florida at Alachua, some of whom signed petitions for legalizing medical mar1juana or cracking down on child molesters, unknowingly had their party registration switched to Republican and their addresses changed. Switching voters' party affiliations does not affect their ability to vote, but changing addresses does, because when voters shows up at their proper polling places, they won't be registered there. In western Pennsylvania, authorities are investigating a flier on official-looking stationery that claims voting had been extended to Wednesday. The flier said that, "due to immense voter turnout expected on Tuesday," Republicans should vote Tuesday and Democrats should go to the polls Wednesday. Authorities in several states also are investigating claims that employees of groups paid by both the Republican Party and Democratic-leaning interest groups destroyed or did not turn in new registrations by voters of the opposite party. In Wisconsin, a flier circulating in Milwaukee's black neighborhoods asserts: "If you've already voted in any election this year, you can't vote in the presidential election." The flier, purportedly from the "Milwaukee Black Voters League," warns that "if you violate any of these laws, you can get ten years in prison and your children will get taken away from you."
It is disgusting what people do ... It definitely goes both ways though so hopefully overall it evens things out
This is hardly a Bush/Cheney problem. Over the weekend various news organizations showed video from across the country and there were plenty of Kerry/Edwards supporters ripping up and stealing Bush/Cheney signs and vice versa.
