Dude looks anorexic. You would think the Spurs would tell him to get in the weight room instead of doing whatever this is.
They definitely blew it with Jalen. Jabari is a good player, but clearly he disappointed enough to where he lost his starting job last season. That's ok though, the org didn't do well with those picks, but they've made up for it in other ways (the Sengun pick, Eason pick, Amen pick, asset management, trades, free agency, getting the right coach), and now the team is on the verge of being a contender. Adding KD will put us over the threshold to being a contender next season, and by the time KD is no longer a great player in a couple years, then Sengun and Amen will be deeper into their primes, and able to lead this team together.
Sometimes being anorexic is good though. Rockets ruined Yaos career by telling him to get bigger. Wemby is already effective skinny. Why risk injury
See with Jabari, I 100% blame Ime for not understanding what wins in playoff basketball games. Jabari is a better starting player than Amen is......he fills more roles and helps out, if you were going to replace someone it should have been FVV or Jalen....not Jabari. DD
Its funny seeing how everyone hates Jalen so much right now, they are wanting to pay to get rid of him but dont want to let go of Jabari lol. Yet Jalen, WITH ALL HIS FLAWS, was 3 times more impactful and meaningful to this roster and winning basketball. This isn't a Jalen thing btw, this is a Jabari thing. The Rockets have to decide who to pay between Tari and Jabari. I think it should be quite obvious Tari is the guy to keep over Jabari. Hes much more impactful towards winning and likely the guy the organization has decided on keeping between the 2. Im not even that high on acquiring Durant for any of the young guys, but Jabari isn't some untouchable guy. Hes a solid rotation guy with the potential to be a good starter.
Tari is a 6'7" hustle player - Jabari is a 6'11" skilled 3pt shooter - they are both valuable to winning. Jalen is a 6'4" soft as charmin - front runner, he has to go. DD
Can't wait for the off-season to be over. I just can't with stupid takes on our team. Wanting to replace a 23 year old who had 30+ games scoring over 30pts. and still learning, had his first playoff experience; thrown away in a deal landing a 37 year old player who has a couple more years to give. Jordan won his 1st championship when he was 30, Kobe was throwing up air balls in his first playoff experience; I'm not saying Jalen is going to be at the level of those two but damn...let's be f**in patient. Like I said, the most I'd give up for Durant is FVV.
Jordan? Michael Jordan? That JORDAN? You are comparing a guy who is scared of his own ****ING shadow to MJ. Ok....thanks DD
I strongly disagree with this, as do any and all advanced stats. I strongly agree with this, as do any and all advanced stats. In fact, both the eye test and analytical tools are VERY clear on the issue that Jalen should have been the one benched so that Amen could start, not Jabari. I actually don't blame Ime on this. I could absolutely be wrong, but I think this was Stone's call. Do you remember when Jackson Gatling asked Stone and Ime at the end of year presser about the analytical metrics saying the team was better without Jalen, and asking how you factor that in? Ime just smirked and tilted his head towards Stone to direct that question over to him.
Nah we gonna give up half our rebuild for a 1-2 year crash out with FVV & KD while Spurs & Thunder run circles around us for the next 10-15 years
NO Jalen is worst among starters interms of impact to winning/outscoring opponents https://www.nba.com/stats/players/t...rters&TeamID=1610612745&dir=A&sort=PLUS_MINUS https://www.nba.com/stats/players/a...rters&TeamID=1610612745&dir=A&sort=NET_RATING
I agree to certain extent, what needs to happen is amen improve his shooting and ball handling skills so he can run the point that way both him and Jabari can start
Michael Jordan in the playoffs by age 23 played 10 games and averaged 35.5ppg/6.3rpg/6.7apg/2.4spg/1.5bpg.
Spoiler alert - the Org absolutely blew it on the #2 and #3 picks in terms of getting the best eventual player or even someone in the tier as the best eventual players. On the bright side, they got more than they could have expected out of Sengun pick and Thompson pick. Them's the breaks.
Endure 3 years of uncompetitive play to get a good, not great, 37 and 38 year old KD if you're lucky. Massive failure!
