or misinfo was leaked to Gambo to drive up the price elsewhere; which would mean no KD in TheToyShop.

I'm personally fine with moving on from Jalen. I'm not ready to give up on Jabari though. I'd rather it be Jalen + Filler (Landale) and picks.

If this is real, it indicates to me that Jalen is seen as a negative value contract on his new deal. That's how I felt as soon as he signed it.

I believe that 100% with Jalen, and I can see it with Jabari…Bari’s been the definition of mediocre so far, the idea of Jabari is far greater than the current reality

Do u value Jabari? Are u in favor of trading for KD? If so, would u do Jalen+Jabari and filler?

I agree but in Bari’s case we were starting to see him really blossom right before he broke his hand. He was playing the best ball of his young career and then he broke his hand and then he was benched when he came back. I keep thinking Bari being so young and that it takes bigs longer to develop, that there’s another level for Bari to unlock, especially as he gets stronger and grows into his body. But it is disheartening that we’ve seen zero improvement on the handles and the processing is still slow. I wouldn’t lose sleep trading either guy as long as we got good value in return. But I still hold out hope for both players that there’s more to unlock, especially Bari.

Bari is a perfect complement to Amen and Sengun. In that way, he’s more valuable to the Rockets than his overarching numbers. I’m not saying he’s untouchable, but I’d only trade him in a package for a younger star. Otherwise, just let him grow next to those two.

tbh don't really care if we trade Jabari or and Jalen.

it makes the roster less cluttered.

You slide Amen to the 2, Dillon to the 3, KD to the 4 and Sengun to the 5.

    Fred/Reed
    Amen/Cam
    Dillon/?
    KD/Tari
    Sengun/Amen

if you give up both guys, you can't give up the 10th pick. Giving up an entire haul to a desperate team for a 37 year old with a bad injury history is scary. I rather give up Dillon, Jabari and the 10th pick.

Kevin Durant’s agent has reportedly informed the Suns that his preferred trade destinations are the Houston Rockets or the San Antonio Spurs. Phoenix's new G.M. and coach are said to be exploring potential trade frameworks.

If the Suns are looking to remain competitive, they’ll likely target young talent and draft capital. However, if they’re leaning toward a quicker rebuild, the focus could be on future picks and expiring contracts rather than immediate on-court contributors.

Given the complexity of Durant’s contract and Phoenix’s expectations, multi-team trades may be necessary to make the numbers and assets align.

Meanwhile, both Houston and San Antonio have sought assurances from Durant that he’s committed to signing an extension—either immediately upon arrival or shortly after—when he becomes eligible for a slightly higher-value deal.

The idea of what Jabari represents seems like the perfect compliment to Amen and Alpi.

Perhaps there is some of that. But even as is, he's a pretty great complement. 6'11, switch defender, 104 defensive rating last season, .35 - .36 on around 5 3s a game, etc. Obviously he has room for significant improvement, but his baseline is pretty solid.

If he gets injured like last year, nobody cares about his extension, he can shove it .....up somewhere.

I’m not holding out hope for Jalen anymore, but I would like to keep Jabari since I think he’d be useful as a low usage role player on the team and I want us to be as good as possible after a Durant trade

but I don’t see Jabari ever being more than a nice starter at best…he just seems too limited as a player

I would trade for Durant *without * signing him to an extension.

It drives the price down - the NBA is now a short termers league - contenders gonna rise & fall in 2-3 year cycles as aprons approach. This is the future, which is now.

What do they think they can get from Rockets or Spurs for KD that can make them competitive?

I don't understand the Suns. If they want their picks back they have to tank to make their picks worthwhile. Why would you keep Booker at that point?

If you could get a clear upgrade over him of the same archetype, I'd do it, but I'm not sure who that would be. Only one who jumps to mind as "he's better and will probably always be better" and not a superstar is Jaren Jackson Jr.
