I'm also very skeptical of their ability to eliminate all of the iranian enrichment facilities. Even American made bunker busters aren't penetrating through 800m of concrete.

Israel should defend themselves. If they have the cajones to strike, then they should have the cajones to defend themselves. Otherwise, this feels like a scam. This could all be pre-planned. It wouldn't shock me.

 

Seems like Iran has not actually retaliated yet.

Israel has systematically dismantled the so called axis of Resistance Iran propped up for the last 20 years layer by layer following the Hamas attack. Without Hezbollah or Syria, or Hamas or even the militias in Iraq, all Iran has left are the Houthis which while a nuisance are too far away to inflict real harm on Israel and Iran has itself. Iran has no real Navy or Air Force. Its only major military supporter Russia is embroiled in its own quagmire in Ukraine. Iran only has its missiles, drones, and a population of 90+ million to fall back on at this point. The population is not staunchly pro regime either given the decades of economic sanctions and resultant instability from a young population clashing with an authoritarian theocratic government. The previous Iranian missile attacks on Israel have shown that the missiles and drones are highly ineffective against the multi layered anti ballistic defense Israel has been successfully using for years.

So unless the West turns off the literal military spigot to Israel, I don’t see an outcome where Israel comes out worse than Iran or even us and the rest of the West.

Iran is going to find out , if they don't know already, the wealthy states in the gulf want nothing to do with them and they're being left behind due to religious extremism and a reluctance to engage in nuclear disarmament. Half the country lives in absolute poverty and sanctions really crush them.

 

This simply isn't true. Dozens of Iranian missiles penetrated through and successfully hit their targets in Netzarim military base. And by all accounts the IRGC didn't even utilize anything close to their strongest armaments.

And Iran has S-300 and S-400 air defense batteries themselves.

It's tactical brilliance from the Israeli's. They've really done well considering how much they're dogged by the corrupt UN. Iran had an 8 week time period to drop the nuclear development, repeatedly stalled and tried to weasel out of it, and now Israel does the dirty work to clean up the mess Biden made. The dumbest thing dems did was lifting sanctions on Iran and pretend they were some sort of ally.

Air defenses that are untested against the F35 and not domestically produced. Israeli F35s are flying freely over Iraq and Iran.

As to @astros123 comment yes we helped knock down many of the drones and missiles out of the air last barrage but the Israelis and everyone else involved received real life experience against future attacks.
