What will probably happen: Durant for Green, Landale, Cam, and # 10 FVV resigned for 3//100 with last year as team option. What I would like to see happen: Durant for FVV, Landale, Cam and # 10. Green and PHX picks for Garland. Garland/Reed Amen Brooks/Tari Durant/Bari Sengun/Adams Much improved offense with Garland and Durant and still have 5/7 of the young core for depth.
You probably could add Hauser from BOS as the backup wing / SG for 3 SRPs. That would get you a solid 10.
- No superstar trades materialize, although we're connected to them Stone won't sacrifice the young chess pieces for a bloated or aging queen... I pray! - My heart/head says it's time for FVV to transition to a smaller role and less money, but my gut says Ime can't let his safety blanket go just yet. Stone has to come to a compromise on contract cost or pivot to my preferred option--trade for Derrick White and let Fred go or trade him. While letting Fred go or trading him may have us take one step backwards, later in the year I think we take two steps forward with Reed, Amen and TBD (White, rookie, etc.). - One trade scenario I believe Stone may be more comfortable with is sending #10 and a player (Cam, Tari or X) to move up in the draft with 4-8 picks being the range and Kon, Tre or Jaku being the targets. - Adams: Two things I haven't seen mentioned but believe will factor into his decision are winning and his mentoring. He likely wants to win a championship and will look to where he can contribute to that cause. He bought into Ime's approach and his role in a big way. He may want to build on that success. I also think he relishes relationships and his ability to impact a team's culture. Having shared office space with a Kiwi-owned business (all rugby players/coaches as well) they're truly great folks, who will go out of there way to help you if you need it. They're really hard working, and the "work hard/play hard" mantra definitely applies. Really want him back! - I think Stone/Ime likely want to bring back Uncle Jeff and Tate. I think Holiday is likely gone. Landale's contract is valuable and he's an always ready 3rd string center, which has proven useful.
I read what you said, did you read my postings? Beal has a no trade clause on $58M Booker is getting a two year $150M ($75M per year) They don't want another guard....Jalen Green or VanVleet .....NO CHANCE ______________ Nets would accept Landale because many are offering a lot for Nic Claxton. Landale is a temporary fill - in on the cheap $8M. with Jabari, Nets would probably give Ja ari $30M and he would start. They can patiently allow Jabari to develop two to three years. Rockets don't have that kind of timeline or money to pay that much.....not right now. The only other player coming up for cash is probably Cam Thomas. Nets want young talent and draft picks....fire sale of Claxton does that. Jabari is perfect for them. They don't want one for one Dillon for Cameron Johnson. Rockets are probably standing pat if no Cameron Johnson trade.....which means another First round knockout next season. I can see a scenario of Durant going to the Spurs. Their fans aren't going to cry about losing a few players. Sometimes you have to rush losing your Bishop or Rook to bag a Queen piece. I can see the Spurs getting Durant to join Wemby and steal Steven Adams in free agency. Durant (SF).....Wemby (PF) ....Steven Adams (C) vs Amen (SF).......Tari or Jabari (PF).....Sengun (C) Spurs Frontline will kick our front lines @$$ for the next 3 years....yes even with Amen. Wemby will probably average 34 points, 14 rebounds Durant will be held down by Amen to 28 points, 10 rebounds Steven Adams will probably get 12 points and 13 rebounds in 30 mins. Adams I believe was a 14.8 rebounds with Houston this season per-36 minutes.
