What makes it sad is that his gene pool and offspring is gone. I mean his sister is still alive but I’m not sure if she has kids or not. We’re never getting that kind of creative mad genius again. His stuff at the groundlings was legendary as ***

I’m curious if it was a gay porno theater or a straight one. They didn’t mention if it was that. Damn media, hurt my boy for nothing

Saw it the other day. What it makes you realize is that Pee-Wee Herman is the greatest modern character ever invented and it is not close at all.

What other character had an HBO special, a 5-season TV show, 3 movies, a Broadway play, a Christmas special, hosted SNL, sold out live venues, appeared on three covers of Rolling Stone and countless other magazines, was a regular talk show guest, and has a Hollywood star? Just remarkable.

His bike from the big adventure is in Pittsburgh at an almost invisible and unknown museum, Bicycle Heaven.

The only other one I can think of that might come close - but he was music only (UHF rules though) - is Weird Al

@Buck Turgidson Weird Al is a good one. He's done a lot and has/had a big following.

While not as big culturally I'd say Larry David as he has a comparable resume. He's had an HBO special, a handful of movies, a 20ish year TV show in Curb, plus the "#1" sitcom of the 90s with Seinfeld, was on SNL plus hosted it, had a Broadway show, he's won Emmys and Golden Globes. Pretty pretty pretty pretty good.
