No Durant? No Giannis? Big swing 1) decline FVV's option (or not... see below) 2) renounce rights to Tate (sorry buddy... again) 3) 3 team trade: HOU - BRK - NOP [could be 2 separate trades as well, but where's the fun in that?] BRK: #10 + Landale (HOU) + A. Holiday (HOU) Nets give up #19 + NYK's 2027 pick + Cam. Nets have depth at PF anyway - plus makes room for "star" (Giannis?) at trade deadline. Another option is to pick up FVV's option and trade to BRK who renounce Russell, Z. Williams, & Melton to make cap room. Nets can then use FVV's contract to go star hunting at trade deadline as it is large & expiring. (Giggity) I could also see returning BRK's 2027 pick in exchange for the Knicks pick + Philly's 2027 FRP. NOP: Brooks (HOU) + Cam W (HOU) + #19 + NYK 2027 (via BRK) + 2028 HOU FRP (top 5 protected) becomes 2 SRPs if not conveyed in 2028 Pellies pick up 3&D now (Brooks) + future (Cam) + 3 FRPs for Trey HOU: Trey Murphy III (NOP) + Cam Johnson (BRK) Star on the rise for now (Trey) + Dillon replacement / better shooting (Cam) 4) sign G Ty Jerome (4 years, $84M) [$18M, $20M, $22M, $24M] 5) re-sign C Steven Adams (2 years, $28M w/ PO on year 2) [$13.5M, $14.5M] 6) 3 SRPs (2026, 2027, 2030) to BOS for Hauser (make it 4 SRPs if necessary) 7) Ship Roster Amen - Reed - VM (Tyus Jones?) Jalen - Jerome - Nate Trey - Tari - Hauser Cam J - Bari - Uncle Jeff Alpi - Adams - VM (Charles Bassey?) Rox 94 lineup = Jerome - Trey / Hauser - Cam J - Bari / Tari - Alpi (Alpi + shooters; Alpi torches post players 1-on-1; finds open shooter if he gets doubled) Run & Fun = Reed - Jalen - Amen - Tari / Bari - Adams (Reed, Jalen, Amen attack passing lanes, Bari / Tari block shots, Big Steve on the boards) Solid defense in Amen - Trey - Tari - Cam J - Bari (+ Alpi, but need to protect him from foul trouble) COD squad (shooters! get it?!?): Reed - Jerome - Trey / Hauser - Cam J - Bari Ime quicks in disgust after Htown wins the championship with great shooting (instead of just great defense)
All kinds of inane speculation being bandied about, including a three-way trade with Phoenix and T-Wolves where Rox end up with Julius Randle. I don’t think JR is the go-to scorer we need. Seems the group think in this thread is the price for Giannis would be “too high.” If you can get Giannis for Green, Smith, Whitmore, and the firsts, you do it and do it in a heartbeat. That’s the very move you are setting yourself up for with the stockpiling. All this analysis notwithstanding, a trade like the above moves you from a regular-season diva to an instant contender. And in the NBA, the playoffs is the only season that matters.
https://www.spotrac.com/nba/milwaukee-bucks/yearly This is one of the main reasons why I think the Rockets are in a prime position to get Giannis without gutting the team. Aside from the Spurs or OKC, no other team can give up a top 10 pick this year and in 27, 2 quality young players in Green, Jabari, and possibly Cam in which all 3 would be under contract for the rebuild. Not only that, large market for Giannis and instant contender along with the largest Nigerian population in the US, a coach of Nigerian descent and the legend who also is of Nigerian descent. After July 1st, its going to be scorching hot because Green and or Sengun would be eligible for trade.
If he is so big on Nigeria, why hasn't he married a Yoruban, Nigerian but instead chose to wed an American. He also hasn't wed a Greek person. He has so much money that he can bring Nigeria to any parts of the World save Antarctica and Arctica. I am pretty confident that any person has a limit of their Culture as well, that they don't need to be Nigerian all the time.
According to you since 6 yrs is a long time Cade should retire 2 yrs from now. What does Cade being better than Green have anything to do with your point? Green only played 4 yrs not 6 yrs? Everything you posted is irrelevant to your point about 6 yrs being a long time.
