As for me, I’m a lot more like Adam Kinzinger and never trumpers than what most normal people would consider a liberal, but Trumpers consider anyone who is anti Trump to be radical leftists. I’m doing just fine and always will be. I have the means to leave this country and live elsewhere if I chose. We just have to accept that the US has peaked and is in serious decline due to the ignorance spread by Trumpers, the disregard for democratic institutions, and their general eagerness to tear down the country to make it white again.

I like Trump's agenda, I dont even really like the man. I do believe they tried everything possible to put him in jail. Even things like Bragg making up crap.

This is about following the constitution and securing the borders, not about racism. The thing I'm most hopeful about that maybe the agenda will continue after Trump because a record number of Hispanics and African- Americans voted for Trump. They were the difference in the election and there numbers are growing because of the kind of stuff that's currently happening in LA.

The country does need to be torn down and rebuilt but not be made white again. This just in, in your lifetime the govt hasn't been just white.

Deportation is a spectacle to drive fear into brown people and to make rural white people happy because brown people are being debased and demeaned.

Trump himself has said he is only going to selectively enforce immigration laws - he knows we need to exploit the cheap labor of illlegal immigrants in hospitality and agriculture and won’t touch those folks. Actions speak louder than words - he knows, as does anyone with half a brain, that illegal immigration is a net economic benefit to this country. We choose to exploit illegal labor on the one hand, and then demonize all brown people who provide this labor by calling all illegal immigrants criminals, rapists, thugs and the like. In reality, illegal immigrants are more hard working than many US citizens and perform the work that we are too lazy to do. Look no further than the numerous articles quoting farmers for that very point.

Deportation is needed due to Biden's open border policy that compromised the nation's resources.

Obama deported 3 million people and this tired excuse of racism wasn't used once.

Once you get closer to the Obama years level you can increase asylum and the vetted immigration process. But an unvetted one leads to a country crumbling, a country who provides comforts and benefits you are too scared to leave.

If liberals had the courage to admit this, people would be less apathetic about non criminals being deported.

 

The point is -- why not move there? You have so much resentment and hatred for the system white people built, but you actively want to leech off of it and reap it's benefits.

Asian countries only achieved prosperity after adopting Western values and principles built by a combination of liberals and conservatives. China explotied the WTO in a way white countries could not due to morali obligations in order to explode it's economy -- yet you're not on the picket lines there.

You can only scapegoat the hand that feeds you so much. At some time you have to self reflect and understand it's your own mentality that's causing you to be so bitter.

 

I’m not so sure about that. I think that the burden of illegal immigration should be shared more equitably across all states, but I don’t know that deportation is needed.

Many experts believe that illegal immigrants are a net positive economically because this country exploits cheap illegal labor. We would have nobody to wash dishes, mow our lawns, or pick our veggies and fruit if we deported all illegal immigrants.

They commit crimes at lower rates than the rest of the country. In my experience, they are hard working people who are willing to do crap jobs for crap wages because it is worse in their home country. I admire their work ethic and toughness. Many Hispanic people are family oriented culturally, much like my own culture.

If given a choice to deport all illegals or let them stay, I let them stay. It benefits us all way more than it hurts us.

I have already explained this. Like most people, I live where my family and friends reside. That’s why I have not moved. Is that difficult for you to understand? It’s not even a difficult concept.

I am not bitter one tiny bit. I am grateful and happy that I have been successful in my education, career and family life, and it is hard to be bitter when those things are good. The majority of Americans thought like this leading up to covid.

But 4 years of Biden caused havoc to the system. It gutted marginalized communities and flooded neighborhoods that were financially weak. When the bottom 90% are struggling like they are and you start diverting resources and hotels to anyone and everyone, it's going to piss people who aren't insulated from this off.

It's not only about crime despite the right's selling point. You've got billions in untaxed payments going back to home countries, employers profiting off slave labor with no accountability for human rights (Something that doesn't work in the West), and a wild wild west system that rigthfully makes legal immigrants and Americans uncomfortable.

This isn't an issue to complicate. Undo a fraction of the harm Biden did, then increase the vetted immigration process once the rage from Biden years dies down. Whether that's the end of this term or the beginning of next one, we go based on economic data. It's also an easier selling point to Americans when you can say look, _______ vetted immigration results in this much economic prosperity . But without data points and just wild projections, you have nothing to stand on.

They cheer on Mr. Dictator/Authoritarian wannabe and raise their flags of Patriotism to Trump, and the USA, but America was founded against the exact types of leaders he wants to be, and against the types of regimes he idolizes. So, he's spending 50 million flexing his military force parade, along with a bunch of tanks and planes, to up one on Kim Jung Un and Putin on his birthday. Meanwhile, there will be hundreds of thousands protesting against that wannabe King and Tyrant all around this country. They are the true patriots who stand for Democracy, and their Anti-Trump protests are not Anti-American. They are Americans protesting against moving towards a government with some crazy sociopath wannabe King, surrounded in gold.
