    No on KD
    No on Giannis
Ready to move on from FVV. Can’t name his replacement. Leave that to Stone and Ime.

Not ready to give up on Cam. But if we could flip him for Knecht, in a heart beat. Would rather keep Cam and trade #10 for Knecht. #10 wont crack the top 12 in rotation. Knecht goes to top 8.

As good as he was here, if Adams leaves, that just the business end of sports. Starting for the Lakers? Yeah for maybe 55 games and what, 20 minutes per night. Hey Steven, just stay here.

Expand the roles of Tari & Reed.

After the Silas years, last season was a blast. Build with tweaks, not swinging for the fences.

My prediction - Rockets make a splash by trading away Nate Williams for a future 2nd pick

I’m gonna be disappointed not trading for KD or I’ll be upset with what we give for KD. Either way Freds extension will be a dagger in my heart

For real though if we resign Fred I could see a lot of civil unrest. He’s clearly going to show as the weakest link next season and I could see Amen, and Reed, start to build resentment taking the ball out and time out of their hands. If Jabari has to come off the bench again I see us burning that bridge. We know Cam is bound to get upset sooner or later. I could also see Jalen wanting an upgrade next to him

A top 5 player in the league would be able to get his team into the Playoffs on his own. This has to be the worst take I have seen on CF in a while, trading Amen for KD and attaching picks, not even Suns fans would propose this type of lopsided deal.

SGA, Ant, Giannis, Jokic, Steph, Haliburton, etc were all able to do this, KD did not even come close to a playoff spot, and didn't even make the play in. He had Booker too, who would be better than any other second option on any other team in the NBA. To have Book as what you would call the second best player and not make the play in is pathetic. Did you already forget that KD ended the season with a season ending injury, which makes this proposal even more absurd.

The Suns lost 9 of their last 10 games, when they desperately needed wins to make the play in. KD at his best ended the season on a major losing streak and then gets injured. You want to trade a 22 year old first team all defense freak athlete for a guy who will be 37 and coming off injury.

All you guys who keep proposing young up and coming guys for injury prone guys that are way past their prime have not watched any games. Look at how many teams benefitted from Paul George being traded, two of them are in the finals and they both traded for young up and coming guys, thats how you win and build a team. You trade for the SGAs, and Haliburtons, the losers are the ones who go after the Paul Georges and Kevin Durants.

    My prediction:

    - FVV re-signs for 3 more years at lesser money
    - Re-sign Adams
    - Draft a young wing, probably Carter Bryant
    - Pick up Landale contract

Looking at on/off and it's not much different from when Amen is sitting.
    ....................On.............Off
ORB%........32.1%.........31.1%......1.0% better when Amen is on the court
DRB%........74.9%.........77.8%......2.9% better when Amen is off the court
Ast%..........55.6%.........54.1%......1.5% better when Amen is on the court
Stl%............8.9%...........8.0%........0.8% better when Amen is on the court
Blk%...........10.4%.........7.9%........2.5% clear advantage with Amen on the court
TOV%..........13.5%........14.7%......1.2% better with Amen on the court
ORtg............116.7.........114.6.......2.1 better with Amen on the court
DRtg............110.6….......112.6.......2.0 better with Amen on the court

So if a team scores more, the opponent has to inbound the ball more; which allows the Rockets defense
to set up properly. Thus the spread noted when Amen is on the court.

If you saw the diagram I posted:

    Holiday left corner 3 (54.2%)................O....rim..........................Cam Johnson right corner 3 (46.2% )
    ATB 3 (38.2%).................................................................................left corner 3 (47.0%) / ATB 3 (37.8%)

    ......................................Sengun .................................Durant ATB 3 (40.8%)
    ........................................... Brook Lopez....................right corner 3 (47.8%) / left corner 3 (52.4%)
    ..............................................ATB 3 (35.0%)
    ...............................................left corner 3 (43.8%) / right corner 3 (65.2%).

    ......................Jalen Green ATB 3 (35.1%)
    ............................................right corner 3 (45.5%) / left corner 3 (26.7%) / CnS 3's (40.9%)

    ____________________

So many of these parts are interchangeable and will score so many points as they force
Opponents into that 3's > 2's dilemma of who to guard? Opponents will have to inbound
the ball at a high rate.

    I can see
Jalen Green going for 30 points / game
Durant going for 26 pts / game
Sengun going for 24 pts / game

Defense won't be so bad if Brook Lopez is propped in front of the rim flanked
by 6'11" Durant and 6'8" Tari Eason or Dillon Brooks or Cam Johnson 6'8"
Cam Johnson was a decent defender while with the Suns. Durant has also been
    in that DRtg of 113.

Some kcehead noted that if Dura t As so good, why didn't he make the
Playoffs? Because the Suns were 10th in offense but only #27 in defense.
And it's a team sport. Udoka will have both Cam Johnson and Durant
    clicking on defense.

Suns can't get rid of Bradley Beal and want to extend Booker $75M per year.
They don't want to add Jalen Green at $33M

But i did go back to the site:
Vv x Tari x Cam Whitmore works (trade machine)
Vv x Holiday x Whitmore works
Sengun x Tari x Jabari works

    And I mentioned pick(s)

Pick(s) can represent a single pick or multiple picks.....and I never said only first rd picks.
To the clodhopper that made that stupid comment earlier.

    Revised

Saw a Bobby Mark Durant trade scenarios video last night.

Apparently VanVleet can't be traded until the team opts him in to that final season.
Suns would be locked into that $44M of VanVleet. Whole purpose of Suns bringing in
VanVleet was to shave down their payroll. So no trade.

    ______________

    Free Agency: re-sign Steven Adams

    _______________

    Trade
Houston in: Cameron Johnson / #19 pick / other pick(s) or pick swaps
    x
Nets in: Jabari Smith / Jock Landale / #10 pick / other pick(s) or pick swaps

    ______________

    Roster

    VanVleet........................Reed Sheppard / Holiday
    Jalen Green...................Cam Whitmore
    Amen..............................Dillon Brooks
    Cameron Johnson.........Tari Eason
    Sengun...........................Steven Adams / N'Faly

Giannis hinted he is going back to the Bucks. Brook Lopez stays with Bucks.

    ________________

Might be traded during the season:

Cam Whitmore (disgruntled?)...Cam said he doesn't know what he has to do to play?
Rockets say they have told him. Did it go in one ear and out the other?

Holiday....too many point guards. VanVleet. Reed, Amen, Jalen Green

    _______________

    Draft: (if available ) #19
Danny Wolf ( C )......7-footer with point guard skills, shoot 3's
    or
Rasheer Fleming ( PF ).....prep for Cameron Johnson contract ending thru its duration.
...........................................Battle Tari for the future of PF position.

There are very few trades that can be had to immediately bring down their salary cap. Landale can be released immediately, but not many more players have non-guaranteed contracts. FVV at 44m expiring is probably the best opportunity for them to shave the cap, maybe even at the deadline, but certainly going into next year. It would allow them in the next off-season to be under the 2nd Apron and be able to consolidate contracts for other trades. They can’t solve their cap issues until 2 of 3 of Durant, Booker, or Beal are gone. Durant will be gone soon and Beal after 2 more seasons. FVV, #!0 and Landale may be the best offer they can get for Durant. 8m in cap and 16m or so in luxury tax just for releasing Landale and 44m for not re-signing FVV after next season.

We largely stand pat. No big moves. Kick the tires on KD and Giannis, but get outbid and/or no move happens at all.

Probably make a run at an unexpected target (JJJ, Bane, White, etc) but no deal occurs, and we later get word that a deal almost happened.

Shooting prioritized, primarily in the backcourt, for the nights whenever Jalen lays an egg. Trade down and/or out of the first round. Cam traded. Adams re-signed. FVV extension.

Running it back with the expectation that Alpi’s efficiency improves, Amen continues his ascension, that adding a Kennard type or two will solve our obvious shooting woes, and that Reed will emerge as a playable difference-maker and obvious PG of the future.

Beal won't leave and makes $58M
They want to extend Booker @ $75 M / year (crazy)
They don't want Jalen Green $33M
......they definitely don't want VanVleet @ $44M (and no option out of team option)

Durant will go to Spurs and kick our @$$ for the next 3 years and people will understand
what I was talking about about.....that Durant is still a heck of a player. He is still every good
as a healthy Tatum, who is probably top 5.

I saw a report that Jock Landale won't be a Rocket by July. But instead of waiting him, i can
see the Nets wanting him in trade with Jabari. Again, it's not that Jabari is bad....it's about
teams that are rebuilding are able to pay him more.

Rockets won't have money to pay Sengun. VanVleet (adjusted salary), Tari extension,
Amen (down the line)....even if they trade Jalen Green for a ham sandwich.

Whitmore, Reed are looking kinda iffy right now.

It's more about, Cameron Johnson can put the ball on the ground and
dribble, mak teams pay for trapping or doubling Jalen Green. Right now
Jabari kicks the ball out of bounds 8 times out of 10 when dribbling.

As a Rockets fan, I would love this as the Suns would win less than 20 games in 26-27 when the Rockets have the Suns pick.

Thinking from the Suns point of view, that cuts the Suns salary by 300K next season before signing the No. 10 pick. With where the Suns are in the repeater tax, that No. 10 pick is going to cost about $46.5M next season once they fill out the roster with minimums.

Letting go of FVV and Landale would leave the Suns with Booker, Beal, Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neal, the No. 10 pick, and an MLE player. That team is the worst team in the West with the Rockets holding their 2027 pick.

I think I am on the high end of views of FVV, and I just can't see a GM telling the owner, "Let's trade for FVV and the No. 10 pick, this will cost you $46M extra out of your pocket this season, but it will get us out the 2nd apron next season which would happen without doing this trade, we won't have a competitive roster after this season, we won't have salaries to trade because we will let FVV and Landale go, even if we had the salaries to trade, we don't have draft capital that is good and not frozen, but I am really excited about one season of FVV and Booker in which we might be better than Utah".

If it doesn't happen for Durant now, I'm good on watching PHX collapse, and catching Booker for less.
Either way, I'd like to have Brogdon in the fold.

Dumb luck is the Suns only chance at this point.

Maybe they get someone stupid to trade too much for Durant. If that doesn't happen, Green is probably one of the best options at dumb luck out there.

I’m for getting Durant, but I guess you ignored what I said. Beal won’t leave until 2 years down the road. FVV is an expiring 44m contract that they will have to eat for 1 year, Landale gives them immediate 8m off the cap and 16m off the luxury tax. They won’t want him to play. Nobody is looking to trade Landale for any thing other than to release him for cap savings. If they are seeking Cap relief it is after next season, because there is no one in the league that will take on Durant without returning player(s) of the same price and all of them will have at least 1 more year before they jettison them.

    These are huge assumptions.

I think the Rockets would be willing to re-sign FVV for a low enough salary that they can add Durant without becoming a 1st apron team. The Suns would still have either Green or Brooks on their books for more than 1 year, but taking in $8M less in salary this season gives the Suns options to get under 2nd apron this season by cutting their own nonguaranteed contracts/team options or next season when the cap goes up and the Sun cut Landale and let Holiday walk.

The Suns need some salary from the Durant trade after this coming season to pretend they have a chance. While I like the idea of having FVV around a couple of years to give the Rockets a chance that Amen and Sengun will be good enough or they get a star like Durant, I just don't see that being appealing to the Suns next season when FVV is one year older.

The Suns have done some stupid things in the past couple of years, so maybe I'm wrong. I just don't think FVV is they type of player a team is willing to pay $45M for plus an additional $40M in taxes when people go all Pawn Stars with the idea of FVV re-signing with the Rockets.

If we aren't able to find a no-brainer trade using FVV $45M then we decline the option and resign him to 3 years around $90-$105M

Rockets get into a bidding war to keep Adams and have to decide to pay more for him than what they wanted to, but pay him just because he is that valuable to us.

We unfortunately have to decline Holiday because of the Adams deal

We look to shop Cam and the 10th pick while also getting a feel for the extension numbers for Jabari/Tari. After getting a feel and both looking for more than 25M/Yr we let it play out a little longer, but know that we'll have to pick two of Brooks/Tari/Bari in the next two years. Depending on who is available at 10, that will provide some clarity on how we handle that situation. We won't pick for position, but if it happens that way then it'll help us make some tough decisions. Same goes for if we do not resign Adams and the backup center spot

    Durant goes to Spurs

Rockets get rumored in lots of deals, but they aren't in any desperate need to overpay so they mostly stand pat. They make calls to teams like Utah for Sexton, but Utah's asking price is too high. We look at guys on Boston team and try to snag one of their guys in a move that financially makes sense for Boston and roster wise makes sense for Houston. We look at guys on the Nets to see if there's a way to snag Cam for cheap or play third team. We look to facilitate a NY trade but can't get a deal done that makes sense for Rockets.

We keep PHX by the balls since they don't want their get out of jail card from us yet and they think they can "fix" their situation. We play along.
