There is literally no news, when you just quote the obvious and dont provide any actual detail at all, of course you can be right.
At that age any day is the day you drop off a cliff in the NBA. Look at Dream's last year with the team that is not to be mentioned.
Thanks. Hope you’re doing well. Trade machine let me down! So it would have to be Mark Williams and salary which may get quite tricky. I just want to get a little more out of Jalen if he’s going to be in the trade personally.
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...s-durant-business-partner-weigh-trade-options That is probably his source. I'm connected to Rich Kleinman on LinkedIn and have met him a few times, I guess that makes me an insider as well.
I think Durant will always get his shot off until his 40s, I think where he would decline is his quick processing and stamina. Such is his gift to be able to play like a guard so fluidly and having the size of a Center. He would get injured with nagging injuries a lot more.
I dont care he is 37 or not. Both Jimmy Butler and Curry at age 37 just beat us in playoffs. We will be better with KD.
37 year old Butler and Curry both got injured during the playoffs and it cost them their series and they were eliminated. Almost $104 Million in salary, they will be a year older next year as far as wear and tear. The much younger Rockets got their first playoff experience.
I hope the 31 year old Fredderick will take his experience in this Playoffs to go somewhere else sooner than lager.
I don't think I would do it, but let's say we took Beal to replace Jalen and some third team getting Durant sends us picks for taking Beal? Maybe gamble on Beal being a bad fit in Phoenix? I might do it if we got 3 interesting picks and didn't unload any core pieces.... worst case you use Reed or future draft pick at the 2 and give Beal the John Wall treatment.
Andre Iguodala Chris Paul JJ Reddick Kyle Lowry Carmelo Anthony Al Horford Some recent players who have played past 37 y/o... the decline is rapid and sharp in the late 30's. Production plummets and injury risk jumps. Lebron being the notable exception. Durant is in the same category as Lebron in terms of a top 5 generational player... but we can't expect similar production and health from 37-year old Durant as what we've seen from him in past years. I struggle to think Durant's production will match his extremely expensive contract. And as we watch the NBA Finals, we are watching two fairly young teams play. All reasons to either pass on Durant, or at least not go overboard with a trade proposal.
To PHX: Nic Claxton, Dillon Brooks, Jock Landale, 2027 PHX pick To BKN: Jalen Green, #10 To HOU: Kevin Durant, someone named Tyrese Martin PHX gets the center they crave, someone to fill in at SF, one of their picks back, and under the second apron if they waive Jock and some dude named Vasilije Micic BKN gets some star power, gets another pick, and continues their tank/rebuild PG: VanVleet/Sheppard/Holiday SG: Thompson/Whitmore SF: Durant/Jeff Green? PF: Smith, Jr./Eason C: Sengun/Adams
23 y/o Jalen Green just gave us 13 ppg on 37% shooting and 48% TS in the playoffs Jimmy Butler got traded to the Warriors and they went from below .500 to going 23-7 the rest of the way because that is the type of impact players like that have we would’ve been in the WCF this year if we had a Jimmy Butler or a KD instead of Jalen
Okay I went into the lab and created the trade where rockets get pick 4 and KD. could use 4 to move up to #3 if Harper drops past the Spurs too.
I'm not sure Brooklyn wants a 5th first rounder.... they are trying to unload picks to move up. Would take another move by them...
It’s a nice thought, but I seriously doubt the Hornets would cooperate. I’m not sure they would trade the no. 4 straight up for Jalen and I think more of Jalen’s trade value than most on this forum. Besides I think the Rockets are even more in love with him than Sengun. Jalen is getting at least another year.
