Dude your analogies are just brutally bad

Unlike this current version of the Rockets - the 2022 Sacramento Kings were going nowhere after their 16th straight lottery season. That's the ultimate long term patience and it absolutely sucked for decades for them .

They traded Haliburton in mid season 2022 because they had to do something and had committed to Fox at the guard slot

Sure in the long term, probably better off with Haliburton than Fox but those are the breaks - obviously in the short term it paid off as they added 18 wins with Sabonis (26 years old when they acquired him, unlike Durante, another problem with your comparison). Might as well bring up Presti sending Harden out for Jeremy Lamb if we're talking inapposite comps.

There's just no parallels between the 30 win 2022 pre-trade kings and the Rockets current squad - literally none. If anything they had 2 things the Rockets definitely do not have - 2 future all star point guards where the Rockets have - Fred Van Veet?

As stated previously, if the Kings are an example of anything (and the Suns for that matter) it's pretending like you're closer than you actually are.

The Rockets are a lot closer to the light the beam Kings than they are to current Oklahoma City both in terms of team construction and record wise. That's why it's not unreasonable to want them to try for a big upgrade, because doing nothing is *also* a gamble that *also* has risks

Sure man, we can agree to disagree. We have different opinions on this, I'll move on.

Who is the Rockets Tyrese Haliburton? Cam Whitmore?

I know who the Sabonis is in this scenario. Hint - it ain't Kevin Durant.

Suns can't reacquire Nurkic or Okogie.

No Jabari please. Jalen and 10 pick. You could throw Jock Landale and Some other filler. I will say KD at 38 is a more efficient scorer than anybody on the Rockets. I think my statement will prove true for 3 more years. Then Amen will hit his prime.

Durant has 3 years really left to play?

I just rather trade for Giannis.

Would you give up Amen or Sengun for Giannis?

Sengun would have to go in a trade for Giannis, but if I were Milwaukee I wouldn’t even entertain that because trying to build around Sengun is a fool’s errand

if we’re not talking Amen Thompson for Giannis, then we’re not talking business if I’m the Bucks

In fairness, the Suns traded 4 first round picks PLUS Bridges and Johnson.
Nets selected Clowney in 2023, we're picking 10th this year and 2 of those picks are yet to convey.

They cashed in a LOT of youth for KD. We could potentially get him by just giving back 27 and 29 picks (ie not sacrificing any of our own picks) and salary matching. Or by offering a playable talent (ie Jalen Green) plus salary matching (Landale?). OR by offering 2 young talents, but still having 5 remain (plus our picks and theirs)

It's a different scenario because KD is so much older, and PHX only have so many options to improve their team

Very telling that the Suns front office still has no idea what it is doing...?

I won't be too disappointed if we don't get him.

37 is old AF for a basketball player. At some point he's going to look like Paul George did this past season.
